Why Should You Play PvE Arc Solo Hunter?

PvE Arc Hunter is one of the strongest AOE damage and add clear subclasses in the game. With crazy uptime on abilities and strong exotics to pair allowing for a wide variety of playstyles, its hard not to enjoy playing Arc Hunter.

ProsCons
High burst ability damageRequired playstyle puts you in danger
Insane uptime on abilitiesLow survivability without exotics
Large AOE damageMaintaining buffs can be tiresome

Arc Hunter Solo PvE Playstyle

The Arc Hunter PvE playstyle is one of being up close and dangerous with your enemies rather than being back in safety. With a large amount of AOE damage, lower health enemies will fall over in waves due to your abilities and your super can deal a massive chunk of damage to even the largest health targets.

Abilities

Some abilities, aspects and fragments need to be unlocked before use. In order to do that, Destiny 2 players need to visit Ikora in the Tower and do the related quest or purchase them from her. Lastly, if you bought new aspects and fragments don’t forget to “meditate”. Simply click the “meditate” option on the table next to Ikora.

Gathering Storm

Gambler’s Dodge

Triple Jump

Pulse Grenade

Combination Blow

Gathering Storm – A throwable super that can stick in the ground or in an enemy that deals impact damage and damage over time in a large AOE

Gambler's Dodge – Activating this dodge while in close proximity to enemies will give you your melee ability back

Triple Jump – The most common jump for a PVE hunter due to its easy of use and strong control. It also allows hunters to generally go higher and further with their jumps.

Pulse Grenade – Grenade that pulses over a decent sized area dealing damage to any enemies caught in or near it

Combination Blow – This melee stacks damage every kill, restores a bit of health, and also refreshes your dodge. This allows a fun gameplay loop with much outside help

Aspects

Flow State

Lethal Current

Flow State – After killing a jolted target, we become amplified. This gives us a buff in reload speed, and dodge recharge rate. It also pairs with our fragments

Lethal Current – When we dodge, this buffs our melee causing it to jolt targets and cause a massive aoe aftershock

Fragments

Spark of Resistance

Spark of Shock

Spark of Ions

Spark of Amplitude

Spark of Resistance : Since this build is very aggressive in nature and our survivability requires us to be close to enemies, this will give us a little extra tankyness

Spark of Shock : This causes our grenades to jolt targets giving us massive AOE damage

Spark of Ions : Since our grenades are constantly jolting targets, any time this is off cooldown we will be getting an ionic trace to help us keep up our spam

Spark of Amplitude : After constantly jolting things which makes us amplified, this allows us to continually generate orbs of power for ourselves
