Destiny 2 Stasis Warlock Solo Build
The Destiny 2 Stasis Warlock Solo Build is an endgame build meant to be able to tackle the hardest content the game has to offer. If you want enemies to stay frozen then this build is perfect for you. Also works well in Easy content that it makes the game a whole cakewalk. This subclass requires some grinding as you have to complete the Beyond Light Campaign and completing side quests from the Exo stranger to unlock fragments and aspects.
Last Updated March 2, 2023, for Lightfall Expansion and Season 20, Season of Defiance. Destiny 2 has gone through a major change with their modding system. Making mods much easier and simpler to understand but taking some of the old metas and either eliminating them or making them relevantly the same. For instance, the “well” mods most players have been accustomed to have been completely eliminated and really the only system and combination are based of orbs of power. The mod loadout you see today will change over time as we become accustomed to new and shifting meta in Destiny 2 Lightfall. This loadout has been tested and works, so check back frequently as we will be updating these builds throughout the season and expansion.

Solo Stasis Warlock Playstyle
This build is great for Slowing the Mobs down to be able to clear the room at your own pace or be able to get a revive when needed.
Before activating your super make sure you have at least 2 stasis turrets out. Rather than using your super to freeze the targets let your turrets do the job for you, doing this does not consume super energy allowing you to spam your heavy attack that costs no energy and shattering every enemy that the turret has frozen. To make use of your charge with light mods Make sure you are picking up your stasis crystals to gain charge with light. There will be a 15 second cooldown of how many stasis crystals you can make. However, your stasis turret lasts 30 seconds giving you enough time to get your grenade fully charged and ready to be thrown again.
So, what’s happening in Solo Stasis Warlock is that I am throwing a grenade turret. The turret is freezing everyone and making Stasis crystals, picking up those crystals gives us charge with light which we get from the mod Elemental Charge and Elemental Shards. While we are Charged with light the mod Fire Power is going to give us a huge chunk of our grenade back every time we throw one. Essentially, we have an infinite loop of grenades coming back. Also Casting Rift while the bomber mod is on our class item gives us grenade energy back.
For Solo Dungeons
Dungeons are no joke. Yes, you can do them with other players but if you want to get all the triumphs then listen to these tips.
- Do the dungeon with other people first to get an idea of what is happening in there.
- Learn the spawn of enemies and what causes them to stop spawning.
- Attempt A duo run to see if you can handle the Added density.
- Maximize survivability over the damage it may take you longer to kill the boss but if you are alone no one will save you.
Abilities
Abilities, aspects and fragments need to be unlocked before use. Once you’ve finished the Beyond Light campaign, the Exo Stranger will offer you a new quest called Born in Darkness. The quest has 4 parts in it that you are going to have to complete to unlock and use 100% of your stasis subclass. Bring Monte Carlo if you have it as some parts require stasis melee final blows and Monte Carlo charges your melee quickly.
Stasis Buffs & Debuffs
Additionally, below we listed the important buffs and debuffs for the Stasis build to help you better understand this playstyle.
- Stasis Crystal (Buff) – A crystal of solidified Stasis matter. Upon creation, freezes nearby combatants and slows nearby players. Crystals can be destroyed, dealing damage in an area.
- Stasis Shard (Buff) – A small shard of Stasis matter that can be collected to restore melee energy.
- Slow (Debuff) – The target has slowed movement, slowed ability regeneration, and reduced weapon performance. Slowed combatants have difficulty firing accurately. After accumulating enough Slow stacks, the target is frozen.
- Freeze (Debuff) – The target is trapped in Stasis matter and is unable to move. After taking additional damage while frozen, the target shatters.
- Shatter (Debuff) – When a frozen target is shattered, they take damage and deal damage in an area around them.

Important Mods

Armor Modification Change: these mods will seem foreign to returning players with Lightfall changing the entire system. The system you build around now is only orbs of power. You also see an armor charge mechanic and some of the previous mechanics for generating orbs of power and previously used mods. This system is evolving, and we will continue to make changes as we gain a better understanding of the new mod system. Here’s a list of all the current armor mods.
Artifice Armor Change: provides an extra +3 to whatever stat you want this should help you reach these stat goals.
Artifact Change: The artifact no longer provides mods instead it reduces the costs of some of the mods and provides passives as you level up and unlock them. Season 20 Artifact.
