Doom The Dark Ages Kreed Maykr Boss Guide: Overview

Kreed Maykr is part of Chapter 20, Resurrection, and you can immediately feel a spike in difficulty. This boss has plenty more moves up its sleeves than average enemies and previous bosses in Doom The Dark Ages. This boss hovers above ground and has plenty of gadgets at its disposal and will use them during the battle. Kreed Maykr isn’t some run-of-the-mill Maykr, and he takes their job seriously as the newly appointed bishop of the Ministry. Desperate to keep himself in a position of power, Kreed Maykr made a deal with the devil and a target for the Doomslayer.
This is not a boss you can rush and bash with your melee weapon; this fight requires patience and precision. Get a feel for each arena and run around to understand the attack patterns. Kreed Maykr has a variety of ranged and area-of-effect attacks you should be wary of. Unlike other bosses, this boss likes to keep its distance and throw as much as it can at you.
Kreed Maykr’s Attacks in Doom The Dark Ages

These are some of Kreed Maykr’s attacks in the first phase:
- Energy projectiles: These are yellow balls that can cause damage upon impact.
- Floating energy orbs: These balls hover around the arena and damage the Doomslayer when they make contact.
- Energy blades: Kreed Maykr will emit waves of energy blades around the entire arena.
How To Defeat Kreed Maykr in Doom The Dark Ages
Phase 1

Kreed Maykr will start the fight with a few energy projectiles. You can use your shield to block and bash your way to close the gap. The boss will be vulnerable for a moment, and you can dish out a few hits. After dealing enough damage and building the stagger meter, take a few Glory Strikes, and Kreed Maykr will back off and summon a few minions and energy shields. These shields stand no chance against your Saw Shield and can wipe out a whole wave.
Once the stagger meter is full, you can deal powerful melee hits to the face. You can focus your shots on the center mass; however, the head is where you can deal the most damage. If you don’t have time to reload, get up close and swing your Flail to deal more damage. After a few hits, Kreed Maykr will be vulnerable for one more Glory Strike before entering the second phase.
Phase 2

The Doomslayer will eject Kreed Maykr out of the first arena and the boss will lose its armor. The fight plays out fairly similarly to the first phase, but there will be two new moves, and Kreed Maykr will be much more aggressive. Expect to see a handful of variables like energy mines and projectiles firing at once. These are some of the weapons you should use during the two-phased battle:
- Super Shotgun
- Flail
- Shield Saw
The Super Shotgun can deal impressive damage regardless of where you point it. Your Shield Saw can be useful for moving around the field, evading attacks, and taking out shield orbs. Focus your firepower on Kreed Maykr, but handle the smaller minions during the fight. Repeat the same strategy from the first phase and Kreed Maykr will be defeated for good.
