How To Rescue Caterina?
The quest begins at the Cantori Diamond in Treviso with the task called Rescue Caterina. Caterina Dellamorte, the First Talon, was initially believed to be dead. However, it is revealed during Lucanis’s previous quest, Inner Demons, that Caterina is still alive, and Rook convinces Lucanis and Spite to save her. Caterina has been captured and is being held at the Dellamorte Estates.
Follow Lucanis through Crow’s Road Rooftops and continue your way along the rooftops, narrow beams, and destroyed buildings to reach the Dellamorte Villa. Along the way, you will encounter several groups of Venatori. Enter through the secret passage of the Dellamorte Cellar and head upstairs to the Dellamorte Estates. You will need to clear Venatori guards and Caterina’s captors to reach the large door. Entering the large door triggers a cutscene showing the reunion of Lucanis and Caterina.
How to Defeat Illario?
Now that Caterina is rescued, the main objective is updated to Confront Illario. Head to the Dellamorte Opera House and open the door to face Illario. A cutscene plays, showing Illario trying to persuade everyone with lies, but he is interrupted by Rook and Lucanis. After the cutscene, the battle between the cousins begins.
Avoid and dodge Illario’s attacks with his dual scythes. He will move faster around the arena, so you need to be quick to dodge his attacks. Illario is resistant to Fire and vulnerable to Cold, which you can take advantage of by using Ice attacks. Additionally, Illario will be accompanied by his Venatori allies during the battle. It is recommended to clear them first; otherwise, they will be a nuisance during the fight.
Once you defeat Illario, you will be given two options: show mercy to Illario and free him, or not forgive his actions and imprison him. After making your decision, the A Murder of Crows quest ends with Lucanis being named the new First Talon by Caterina.
