The purpose of the network test was so FromSoftware could get feedback from players on the game. As the game is still in development, there were, of course, multiple issues that players picked up on. One such issue was repetitive strategies.
In the network test, certain strategies were very effective and made the boss battle a predictable affair. Another issue players had was confusion regarding the UI and gameplay mechanics. Finally, many players had something to say about the difficulty of the game. Whether they found it too easy at parts or too hard at others varies from one player to another.
What Changes Will Elden Ring: Nightreign Implement?

In response to all of the player feedback, director Junya Ishizaki has promised several changes. Firstly, the completed version will have much more variation. Any one strategy will only be effective for a certain time, and the enemies will evolve to overcome your approach. Essentially, you will have to keep rethinking and modifying your approach over time.
Also, you can figure out a boss’s weakness before heading out. As a result, you can base your strategy and curate a solution around this weakness.
Next, the final version of the game will be much clearer and will convey information to players about the map and their characters more effectively via gameplay. Lastly, FromSoftware is making many adjustments to the difficulty to strike a reasonable balance so that Elden Ring: Nightreign is challenging but still manageable. Most excitingly, the Nightlord Gladius, Beast of Night, will be receiving buffs to make it more difficult. Players who enjoy a challenge are probably pretty happy with this decision.
