ESO Firesong Update 36 PTS Notes v8.2.3

The ESO Firesong Update 36 PTS Notes v8.2.3 are here! Not much has changed from the last update to the PTS, the notes this time are mostly regarding bug or quest fixes. To find out the detials, read on below, or check out the official post on the forums HERE.

The Elder Scrolls Online v8.2.3 is largely focused on fixes for Firesong content and quests, some combat abilities and item sets, and more. We have also activated Whitestrake’s Mayhem for testing this week. The size of this patch is approximately 290MB.

Event Testing – Whitestrake’s Mayhem
Whitestrake’s Mayhem returns to Cyrodiil and the Imperial City!

  • Complete your introduction with Predicant Maera (or do it again this year if you want) to receive your Scroll of Pelinal’s Ferocity.
  • Pelinal’s Boon Boxes are rewarded for completing daily quests in Cyrodiil or Imperial City district daily quests, or as a bonus reward with Rewards for the Worthy mails you receive.
    • These boxes contain a variety of goodies ranging from Tel-Var stones to Cyrodiil repair kits or soul gems, as well as a chance for Cyrodiil style pages, Daedric siege weapons, transmute geodes.
    • There is also a small chance to receive a tradeable style page for the Tools of Domination weapon style, returning from a previous year’s Imperial City Celebration.
  • You can earn a total of 3 Event Tickets per day during this event.
    • The first 2 come from completing any daily quest that focuses on Cyrodiil or Battlegrounds. You may earn an additional ticket by completing an Imperial City District daily quest. Visit both places if you want to maximize your ticket earnings!
  • In addition to the rewards from previous Mayhems, this year’s new Outfit Style is the Gloamsedge Armor.
    • Style pages for this armor have a chance to drop from bosses in the Imperial City but are also available from the Impresario for 5 tickets each.
    • Bosses in the Imperial City also have a small chance to drop an additional page for last Mayhem’s House Dufort Banneret armor style.
  • The Impresario will have bound style pages for the Gloamsedge Armor for 5 tickets each, as well as the face and body markings (sold separately) for 5 tickets each. Also available will be all three fragments of the Passion Dancer Blossom Pet as well as the first and second fragments of the Passion’s Muse Personality.


Template Information Banner

  • Fixed an issue where the High Isle Trap Door furnishing could be found in the Lost Depths Recipe Envelope before it was ready for public testing.


Ascending Tide Banner


  • Fixed an issue where the Ascendant Order and Dreadsails motifs were dropping at incorrect rates on various difficulties.


Firesong Banner


  • Updated and polished a number of animations throughout the zone.


  • Jahim, the Outlaws Refuge Guild Trader, will now allow for the correct guild tabard to display.


  • Fixed typos and other grammatical errors on several contraband items.


  • Fixed several textual errors with achievements.


  • Improved the audio for the Lava Spout furnishing.
  • Adjusted the lava in the Lava Spout furnishing to terminate a little more naturally, and to be easier to work with when placing this furnishing upside-down.
  • You may now choose between flowing fountains and still water for the “High Isle Fountain, Wall” furnishing.
  • The “Druidic End Table, Ivy Stone” furnishing can now be found in the Parlor, Tea Tables section of the housing editor.
  • The following flower furnishings can now be found in the “Conservatory, Flowers” section of the housing editor:
    • Flowers, Galen Sea Daffodil
    • Flowers, Sunflower Cluster
    • Flowers, Sunflower Patch


  • Fixed an issue where Sir Stefan would sometimes lose his scar.
  • A random Dhulef will no longer hang out at the docks for no reason.
  • Rufus the Dog will no longer spawn a duplicate version of himself when being pet. We’re still trying to find out where Rufus got that spell from…
  • A number of citizens will now react properly to crimes.


  • Fixed a number of floating assets throughout the zone.
  • Patched a number of areas where your character could fall and get stuck. Galen sure is a treacherous place.


  • A Sea of Troubles:
    • Fixed an issue where relogging during this quest could prevent you from advancing the quest.
    • You no longer have to wait for other players to use the ballistas before using them for yourself.
  • An Eye for an Eye:
    • Falling behind during the quest step “Following the Thugs” will now cause you to fail that portion of the quest.
    • Fixed an issue where grouped players could get desynced while following the thugs.
    • Yves no longer runs out of view while speaking to him.
    • Quest pins will now properly appear when in the Vastyr Outlaws Refuge.
  • And Now, Perhaps, Peace:
    • Fixed an issue with several quest assist pins.
    • Jakarn now wears his new High Isle outfit.
  • Cursed and Coniferous: Fixed a number of dialogue and voiceover issues, as well as some missing dialogue.
  • Guardian of Y’ffelon:
    • Fixed an issue where groupmates could get out of sync and cause quest blockers.
    • Lowered the amount of hostile chatter throughout the quest.
    • Fixed a number of missing voiceover issues.
    • Fixed an issue where relogging would sometimes cause specific NPCs to start following you again.
  • Seeds of Destruction: Fixed an issue where examining stone carvings would not always advance the quest.
  • The Dream of Kasorayn: Fixed an issue where relogging during part of the quest could prevent you from advancing.
  • The Ivy Throne:
    • You are no longer directed through an invisible, unusable door when you try to return to Vastyr.
    • Fixed an issue where dying on the beach would cause the NPC you needed to speak with to despawn.
    • Fixed an issue where dying would cause your quest follower to not respawn with you.
    • Fixed a number of quest assist pin issues.
    • Requested that some inappropriate Druids put their clothes back on.
  • The Siege of Vastyr:
    • Fixed an issue where you could occasionally not interact with Stefan, causing the quest to become blocked.
    • Fixed an issue where accepting the quest from Dhulef in Vastyr would lead you to an NPC that didn’t exist. The ultimate hard mode!
  • Tides of Ruin:
    • Added an additional graveyard to Castle Tonnere.
    • Stefan will no longer walk out of view if interacted with too early.
    • Fixed a number of typos throughout the quest.



  • The Antique Map of Galen no longer has a sell value and now has a correct icon.




  • High Isle Delves and Public Dungeons will now properly display Skyshard information when viewed on the map.


  • Reduced the number of Chimeras needed for the “Chimera” Achievement from 10 to 5.
  • Fixed an issue where consumables could be used during a Tales of Tribute match, closing the match.


  • Reduced the coin granted by Draoife Ritecaller’s “While In Play” effect from 2 to 1.




  • Fixed an issue where you could become stuck Heavy Attacking indefinitely after roll dodging while inputting a Light Attack.
  • Fixed an issue where you could fail to receive the skill lines from purchasable options, including Werewolf or Vampire.


  • Shadow
    • Path of Darkness: Fixed an issue with this ability and morphs’ Major Expedition where the visual effects could flicker and cause client performance issues.


  • Destruction Staff
    • Tri-Focus:  Fixed an issue where this passive was not properly causing your block to cost Magicka.


  • Fixed an issue where Isobel would not give you a rapport increase if you were mounted when approaching an Undaunted Enclave.

Mythic Items

  • Faun’s Lark Cladding:
    • Fixed an issue where the visual effects for this set could fail to appear.
    • Fixed an issue where players affected by this set’s Charm could still move freely. Charmed players will now move toward the last location of the Charm caster and stay there until the effects of the Charm have worn off or have ended early by cleansing or using Break Free.




  • Fixed some issues where Bretons could sometimes appear as Kothringi (silver skinned) across the game.


  • Fixed an issue where personality props could be visible when previewing Customized Actions.
  • Fixed an issue where Customized Action animations would sometimes not play during a preview if started during a personality animation.


  • Fixed an issue where the Passion’s Muse Personality was missing an icon.
  • Fixed a number of animation-related issues with the Passion’s Muse Personality.

Dark Heart of Skyrim Celebration

  • Bloody Reunion: Fixed several issues with Pale Worm’s foot alignment during his first appearance.


  • Renamed the “Show House Tracker” Interface setting to “House Tracker”, to be consistent with prior settings like “Quest Tracker”.


  • Holes in the World (Village of the Lost Public Dungeon): You can no longer beat Mezha-dro to the tears, which could break the interaction.
  • Your game will no longer crash upon speaking to Millenith or The Prophet after completing their respective quests.
