I think DK has more viability as a stam/dw than NB, sadly.
NB seems fun, but still missing some kind of self-heals that are not afected by Magika. VoB was a pretty huge nerf, but it was silly in the first place, so yeah it something expected.
Over all I found DK more versatile now as DPS, tankish still has some strenghts but yah, DK all over again.
Which class will you main in 1.6 Deltia? Seems like you liked NB in the first place, but then you tried the newest changes and… DK? xD
I’m pissed about potions going away and like the Debilitate morph over Cripple now. Still need a lot more testing before I decide. Give me some time to actually play instead of streaming and talk with Parfax.
I went with debilitate as well, definitely the better morph, slightly pissed about catalyst and transfer passive changes, but I will live…the spectral bow is nice, and you get a slight increase in dps. Reapers mark, merciless resolve, and entropy seem like must haves for magicka dps.

In live, mammoths and giants take about 7-10 sec to kill (5 with really good burst)…On PTS, I can 3 shot a mammoth using wrecking blow (from stealth) followed incapacitating strike and executioner…60K dmg in 1.5 sec!
The Sorc Crit Surge change is reprehensible. Sorcs are already so squishy as soon as you are CCed if having to rely on a crit build. Now you can only do so if a weapon based character.
This seems to benefit only Bow Sorcs. I plan to do extensive testing because I would love to do a Lightning Tornado/Reaver build, but don’t see the cooldown working in your favor if running many DoTs which won’t return health in large amounts.
I heard rumors that the health return was going to be made part of the base skill and then separate morphs for weapon and spell power, but that doesn’t look like it made the cut.
In terms of Templars, Eleanour Masterham (my VR9) has been hitting the mobs in spellscar “like a truck” running double resto currently so I cannot wait to see what happens in 1.6 when it goes live.
In PVP, Eleanour’s bane of existence has been the DK. But with all the changes, this is going to be a whole new game for me! I have been running 1h/shield there for survivorability and I am not a huge fan. Hopefully I can go back to either double resto or resto/bow
Templars are super powerful. Double resto is good because you don’t need Lethal Arrow to get a healing debuff. If you enchant your weapon with Disease/infused and Dark flare, that person is getting 50% healing. Assuming you like PvP.
is it me or have they made the world bosses harder.
i could solo them all just about especially with my templar
but now its not even close. not sure how i feel about it. i like
to do most stuff solo but it kills me leaving something unfinished
before i move onto the next area.
hmm. I like to solo a lot. It seems the more and more I find out the less this game is suiting my play style. I’m going to give 1.6 a go but I’m not holding my breath. looks like il be heading off to gta 5 again till the next mmo comes out

From what i see on Test (as DK TANK and DPS) you just have to adjust your playstyle a bit. Works well allaround.
perhaps I left 4 comments as nobody else has replied to me, giving more information, advice or options. maybe because all I’ve seen are negative effects on my builds and nobody has highlighted the positive for me? perhaps if I had those I wouldn’t have to leave 4 comments to get a reply
Brian I only see two comments from you and neither had questions more statements about my DK tank build. What questions or advice were you seeking?

Thanks deltia . I play dk tank and am not really a dps class. I use igneous weapons to bolster my attack. I based my build with cinder storm to help with tanking. my build is similar to your t3 although not identical. I would be greatfull if you have noticed after 1.6 how dk tanking has been affected. have you tried your t3 and how it copes. I like to solo a lot and my build was tough, able to handle everything thrown at it. I wore hist bark and oblivion’s foe for regen and hit chance miss.
I still think it can work with the major and minor buff changes. Cinder storms nerf is a big one, but DKs still have Armor and awesome bubbles. We’ll figure it out though I haven’t PvE tanked lately.

well its early thats what the pts is for. hopefully they will catch the feed back and make some more changes. it would be nice to choose or have it reconize if you are soloing a world boss, dungeon or the like and adjust it accordingly. that would give everyone the option that best fits the way they like to play

Plus what about the Destruction Staff? Have you seen any changes there? (though i guess not) the point am asking this is because am using the Destro Staff as a main with a bit of other abilites like Surge (ofc) and C.frug. and secondary -helpful mainly- skills.

As for the skill at eso i have already seen it .. what am talking about is pratical application of the skill of destro stuff combined with the 3 Sorc. skill lines.
I will say this much. I am running a modified Lightning Tornado build that is crit based. I turned him into an awesome tank/dps. I use sword and board and dual wield. I love my build and it is a lot of fun to play. I do play solo a lot. I tested this build on the PTS. I was at first bummed about the crit nerf from my gear, but I was still able to solo the welwa boss and all those adds in upper crag with it. I did die a few times and had to adapt, but it is still a viable build and I am prepared for 1.6. For those of you interested. There is a 12% crit increase in the ritual tree, you just need 30 points. I put it all into crit damage. Thank you Deltia for the Lightning Tornado. Mine rocks!
Hey deltia question. Im runnin a tam build dps temp khajiit. DW/2h for max dps and DW/BOW for needed range.I am running 2pc Bloodspawn, 5pc Hundings, 3pc twice-fanged, and 2pc shadow walker. Id like to increase surviveablity without sacrificing too much weapon damage. I pve and pvp. I am hearing trials loot are useless. This isnt true is it?
I do not like the change to cinder storm. I’m a tank based dk and I can see that really affects my build and tanking ability

It will always be my Dragonknight. It’s me, my personality and I love it. With that being said, all of the classes are fuck as hell!
I currently main a VR14 Argonian NB (RIP potions build)…I am very happy with the way magicka NB is in 1.6.
Current Single Target Bar: 1. Structured Entropy 2. Crippling Grasp 3. Funnel Health 4. Impale 5. Inner Light
With this bar, I sustain 7-9K dps
Medium armor stam, I find it very under performing, and almost impossible to raise weapon crit (granted deadly strikes set give 0% crit right now).
Your thoughts?

2 Handed DK’s are pretty damned useless right now. Good lord it’s rough out there.

Is it better to go with the 2h ‘executioner’ skill or the assassins tree ‘killers blade’ as execute with a 2h stamina NB?
Executioner as it makes every other 2H ability and execute.

Yeah they nerfed players overall DPS making it harder to solo things.

Go all Shadow Walker for PvP, you’ll live A LOT longer. Other than that, you’re gear seems good for a end game stamina build.
