College Football 25 Release Date
The official release date for College Football 25 is July 19, 2024. No official release times have been announced as of this article’s publish date. We will be sure to update this page when that information becomes available.

Can You Play College Football 25 Cross-Platform?
College Football 25 can be purchased for either the PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X/S, and cross-platform play will be available on both. Unfortunately, the game will not be available on PC. Considering last year’s Madden 24 was available on Windows, this seems a curious decision. However, so far, the developers have not made any comments as to why this is. Furthermore, no remarks have been made on whether it will become available on PC in the future.
The official Cross-Play FAQs post from EA answers several questions regarding this feature. Here is what we know about College Football 25 Cross-play availability:
- Cross-play will be available on both PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
- Cross-play will be enabled by default but can be disabled if you wish to do so.
- Cross-play requires a copy of College Football 25, all relevant game updates, an EA account, an internet connection, and a platform account.
- To play with a friend on another platform, open the EA Connect menu in College Football 25, then navigate to the Player Search tab. Search for a player using their EA Identification number or their Xbox Series X|S gamertag/PSN ID.
- Cross-play is available in Road to the College Football Playoff, College Football Ultimate Team™, and Play a Friend modes.
- If cross-play is enabled, any leaderboard in any mode that supports cross-play will be a global leaderboard.
- The Auction House will not be cross-platform.
College Football 25 Editions and Cost
There are three different game editions you can choose from when purchasing College Football 25: the Standard Edition, the Deluxe Edition, and the MVP Bundle. Additionally, you can access the Standard Edition of the game through an EA Play subscription for $6 a month. This subscription offers a 10-hour early access trial starting on July 16th.

College Football 25 Features
The developers are EA are touting their new ‘Campus IQ’ system that includes a collection of new gameplay features that boost immersion and test your mettle. Wide open, fast gameplay promises player ratings that fluctuate throughout a game, team tiers, and new in-game passing mechanics. Furthermore, a brand new Wear & Tear system will require you to also manage your players’ health, limit fatigue, and assess the risk of injury.

Next is Pre-Snap Recognition, which will require you to strategize and make tough calls about which players to send out for any given play. Finally, the Homefield Advantage system will test your team’s composure when they’re playing on the road, and give them a boost of confidence with a passionate homefield crowd.
Additionally, other parts of the overall college football game scene will be highlighted with the Iconic Atmospheres feature. This will include special pageantry and traditions, playing out unique team run-outs, rivalry rituals, synchronized crowd-chants, mascots, and more. Moreover, College Football 25 will include game commentators Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit calling the marquee matchups.
College Football 25 Game Modes
Then there are several Game Modes we know you can play in College Football 25, each with its own unique challenges and opportunities. Some, such as the College Football Ultimate Team and Road to the College Football Playoff will have you facing off against teams from across both platforms.

- Dynasty – Create a coach, hire/manage a staff, and build your team
- Road to Glory – Create a student-athlete, manage your weekly schedule, GPA, and your image
- College Football Ultimate Team – Take your dream team into Solo Challenges or H2H Seasons
- Road To The College Football Playoff – Choose a team and play competitively across consoles to earn the National Championship
Finally, there is the Team Builder feature, which will require an active online connection to upload. However, once the content is uploaded, it can be used in offline play. With the Team Builder website, you can design uniforms, helmets, fields, and your own logo. These can be uploaded and used in the Play Now and Dynasty modes.

College Football 25 will include all 134 Football Bowl Subdivision teams. The FBS is the highest level of college football in the United States and includes 10 conferences and 134 schools. The major conferences include:

- Pac-12 Conference
- Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC)
- Mountain West Conference (MW)

Can You Play College Football 25 Offline?
You can play College Football 25 offline, however, when you are not connected to the internet certain features will not be available. This includes being able to upload and import Team Builder creations into Play Now and Dynasty.
Additionally, without an active connection to the internet, you will not be able to play with friends or against any other players online. This includes both cross-play modes and within the same platform.
