The highly requested Favorite feature is now available in Grow a Garden to prevent you from accidentally selling rare items.
One of the most requested quality-of-life features in Grow a Garden is finally here. With the release of the April 2025 feature update, you can now Favorite items. Before the update, players could not lock items. Once you mark an item as a Favorite, you cannot sell or discard it.
This guide will cover how to Favorite in Grow a Garden Roblox. You should use the feature on items like lemons that players do not want to sell.
How To Favorite in Grow a Garden Roblox
Here is how you can favorite an item in Grow a Garden:
- Open your inventory
- Right-click on an item
- Click on the heart (Favorite) icon
- The item is now locked
If you want to remove the Favorite tag from an item, here’s what you need to do:
- Open your inventory
- Right-click on an item marked as Favorite
- Click on the active heart (Favorite icon)
- The Favorite status will disappear from the item
What Items to Favorite in Grow a Garden Roblox

The chart above serves as a general guideline for what you should keep. Some plants and vegetables are rare and available through limited-time events only. If you want to keep them in your inventory for commemorative purposes, you should favorite them.
Lemons should be the first thing you Favorite in Grow a Garden if you have them. They were previously available due to a bug, and the developers let the player base keep the fruits despite unintentionally adding them. You can trade lemons with other players for a lot of rare resources, which are more valuable than selling to a vendor.
You should also Favorite items from Traveling Shops. The vendors have exclusive items that you cannot purchase elsewhere. Accidentally selling the items can hinder your progress, making you wait hours before you can obtain them again.
