Maya Higa shares her experience of getting “arrested” at the Renaissance Fair on her and QTCinderella’s Wine About It podcast.
Popular Twitch streamer Maya Higa was supposedly arrested during the Renaissance Fair. While she didn’t actually get arrested by the police, a performer at the fair was paid to arrest her. Fellow streamer PeachJars paid a Renaissance Fair performer to arrest Maya for drinking a beverage that wasn’t “historically accurate.” Higa was supposedly paraded throughout the fair while she had a “shame” burlap sack on. Maya talked about the ordeal on the WineAbout It podcast as she admitted:
“PeachJars paid this guy 40 bucks to arrest me”

Maya Higa was taken to a jail, where she met two teenage boys who were also “arrested.” One of them was supposedly in for tax evasion. The other kid earned his stint in jail for being a “h*rny Harry Potter.” Maya stated that during the parade, she faced a wardrobe malfunction. While the jail was made out of real iron bars, the streamer said she could stick her head out. Maya was eventually let out of the jail after she was asked to perform a “chicken song” in front of the crowd. While listing the supposed charges for which Maya was arrested, PeachJars said:

What Happened With Maya Higa at the Renaissance Fair?
When Maya Higa was being paraded at the Renaissance Fair, she faced a wardrobe malfunction. For those unaware, the Renaissance Fair, often called a Renaissance Festival or Ren Faire, is an event that recreates the Renaissance period. The visitors and performers are dressed up in clothes from the period. The fair usually consists of several events, including jousting tournaments, sword fights, music performances, and comedic acts.
Maya visited the fair with her staff from the Alveus Animal Sanctuary. While she was being paraded at the fair, her skirt supposedly fell off. Although she had a piece of dressing underneath her skirt, the streamer said that she was embarrassed.
“So she had me arrested for drinking a Michelob Ultra, and as I was walking, my skirt fell off. Not like that, I had a skirt underneath my dress.”
