In Dragon Age: The Veilguard, you can change your outfit and your appearance by interacting with the Wardrobe and the Mirror of Transformation, respectively.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard, the sequel to Dragon Age: Inquisition, is an action RPG developed by BioWare and published by Electronic Arts. Players take up the role of the protagonist, Rook.
If you don’t like your character’s outfit at any point during your playthrough and wish to try something else, the game has you covered. You can change your outfit, and even the overall appearance of your character, mid-game. There is no cap to altering your outfit or appearance, so feel free to customize until you are pleased with the results.
How To Customize Outfit in Dragon Age: The Veilguard
If you want to change your current outfit without affecting the stats in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, use the Wardrobe at the Lighthouse. Interact with the large chest in the Infirmary or the wooden wardrobe in the Meditation Chamber to open the outfit customization menu.
Here, you can customize all your visible gear, such as Main-Hand weapon, Off-Hand item, Class Weapon, Helm, Armor, or Casual Wear. Click on the slot that you want to modify and select your preferred outfit or gear from the available options. This overrides the appearance of your currently equipped weapon or gear in that specific slot. You also have an option for hiding your helmet always or specifically during conversations.
You can even customize your companions’ outfits, but they don’t have as many options as Rook.
How To Customize Appearance in Dragon Age: The Veilguard
If you want to change your entire appearance, take the help of the Mirror of Transformation in the Lighthouse’s Infirmary. Interact with it to open the character customization menu. It is similar to the one used for character creation and lets you change almost everything about the character. However, you should note that there is no option change the Lineage, Class, or Faction of your character.
The customization menu shows three tabs – Appearance, Finalize, and Summary.
- In the Appearance tab, you can customize any part of your physical appearance, such as head, body, eyes and eyebrows, nose, mouth, ear, and hair.
- The Finalize tab allows you to alter your first name, along with the voice tone and the pitch. You can’t change your last name as it is derived from your faction.
- The Summary tab lets you go through all the details of your character. You can then hit Finalize to confirm your changes.
