Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth gives you a bonus for having save data from the prequel, Final Fantasy 7 Remake. Here is all you need to know.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is the long-awaited sequel to Final Fantasy 7 Remake, which was released in 2020. Although you are free to play Rebirth without having played its prequel, there are some incentives to play the previous installments before the latest one. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth rewards you if you have save data from Final Fantasy 7 Remake, the EPISODE INTERmission DLC, or the Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Demo.
Although you cannot transfer your game progress from Remake into Rebirth, these bonuses are still very helpful. And so, here is how you can obtain the save data bonuses in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.
How To Claim Save Data Bonuses in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth?
The first step is to make sure that your save data for Remake or the INTERmission DLC is on the same device as Rebirth. Once you start a new save for Rebirth, you will be given a prompt to check your eligibility for bonuses. Select Check. Alternatively, if you have already started Rebirth, select the Bonuses section on the Title Screen. This will check your device to see if you are eligible for any bonuses.
However, before you can collect your rewards in-game, you will have to progress to Chapter 2 of the game. Once you have completed Chapter 1 and can control Cloud in the present, open the Main Menu. Select the Systems option and then select DLC/Bonuses. From here, you can select the bonuses you want to redeem.
What Are the Save Data Bonuses in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth
There are 3 different save data bonuses you can attain. They are for Final Fantasy 7 Remake, the EPISODE INTERmission DLC, and the Rebirth Demo.
For having save data of Remake, you get Summoning Materia for Leviathan.
For the INTERmission DLC, you get Summoning Materia for Ramuh.
And finally, for the Rebirth Demo, you get the Kupo Charm and the Survival Set. Additionally, if you’ve completed the Nibelheim section of the Demo, you will be given the option to skip that part of the game when you reach Mt. Nibel. However, it should be noted that this option is only available for the PlayStation 5 console.
