In the ‘A Slow Poison’ quest in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, the Antivan Crows ask you to look into their scout situation.
The world of Thedas in Dragon Age: The Veilguard is rife with conflict, and this is especially true in the city of Treviso, where the Antaam is butting heads with Antivan Crows. ‘A Slow Poison’ is a quest in Dragon Age: The Veilguard that expands on this escalating conflict between the two groups. The Crows planted scouts across the city, who have gone radio silent. The group then approaches Rook and the team to look into the issue, kicking off ‘A Slow Poison.’
In this guide, we will go over the ‘A Slow Poison’ quest, and how to start and complete the quest.
How To Start a Slow Poison?
A Slow Poison quest is available shortly after Lucanis joins the party. Head to the Lighthouse and into the Library to find a note from the Crows. “The Antaam occupying Treviso think they can outlast the Crows. We believe it is time to prove them wrong. Come see us when you can,” the note reads, signed off by Teia. Reading the note will add the quest to your log.
Next, head to the Cantori Diamond in Treviso to talk to Teia and Viago. The duo will inform you of the scouts, Dareth and Jacobus, who were last seen in the Drowned District and will ask you to find and help them. Accept their request to begin the quest.
How To Complete a Slow Poison?
Find the Scouts
Accept the request and go across the Crow’s Road Rooftops towards the Heart and Central. Pass through the Grande Markets and you will arrive at the Drowned District. As you approach their location, you will find Jacobus caged and surrounded by the Antaam. Help Jacobus fend off the ambush and he will inform you of Dareth’s death, requesting you to finish the Crow contract in his stead.
Locate Dareth’s Contract
To complete Dareth’s contract, find it first from its “usual place.” Follow the Crow marks on the wall to reach the contract. The crow marks will take you from the Drowned District, across the Grande Markets into Heart and Central. Climb the grating on the northern end of the area to find the next Crow mark. Follow the trail upwards to reach the contract.
Fulfill the Contract
Dareth’s contract will ask you to find and assassinate a Qamekmaster (poisoner) working under the Antaam. The Qamekmaster is at the Garrison. Take the zipline right in front of you to get to the Crow’s Road Rooftops. There are multiple ziplines on this rooftop. So use them to go across roofs and defeat the Antaam along the way.
As you reach the Garrison, a massive army of the Antaam stands at the gates. Sneak up across the roof to enter the Garrison. Sneak to the lower floors and make your way to the poison storage room to find the Qamekmaster.
The Qamekmaster is a troll-like creature and is a mechanically simple boss. The boss uses ground smashes and poison pools to deal damage. Stay on your feet to dodge and chip away at his HP. Defeat the boss and destroy the poison in the arena to progress ahead. Search Qamekmaster’s room and report back to the Crows to complete the ‘A Slow Poison’ quest.
