Have a complete overview of Bellara’s first companion quest ‘Echoes Of The Past’ in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
Bellara Lutare is one of the seven companions in the Dragon Age: The Veilguard, who joins with Rook during the ‘In Entropy’s Grasp’ quest. Apart from the main story quests, The Veilguard’s story is also narrated through companion quests. The Echoes Of The Past is the first companion quest of Bellara.
In this outing-type quest, Rook helps Bellara check the safety of the artifacts and ensures they remain calm. Find and place three sets of crystals in the power sockets. As with any other outing quest, no combat is involved. Pick up the quest by interacting with Bellara at the lighthouse after completing the main story quests, ‘Smuggled Relic Case’ and ‘Sea of Blood.’
Echoes of the Past Quest Guide in Dragon Age: The Veilguard
Bellara’s quest starts with the ‘Echoes Of The Past,’ which takes place in the Arlathan Forest. Meet Bellara at the marked location to begin the quest. Fast travel to the location if it has already been unlocked.
Join Bellara at the Artifact Vault, where she inspects the three artifacts and pacifies them. Replace the damaged crystals with new ones by finding them in the area.
Artifact 1: First Set of Crystals
When Bellara interacts with the first artifact, find and replace two crystals.
- The first crystal is directly behind Bellara.
- The second crystal is near one of the barriers and the table opposite the first one.
Artifact 2: Second Set of Crystals
Follow Bellara to get to the next spot. For the second artifact, find and replace three crystals.
- The first crystal is on the left side of the artifact, where wooden boxes need to be destroyed at the end.
- The second crystal is near the remains by the golden door.
- Climbing the ladder reveals the third crystal directly ahead.
Artifact 3: Third Set of Crystals
Once done, Bellara leads to the final spot. Find two crystals and replace them in the power sockets for the third artifact.
- Kick the wooden beam to push it down, creating a path to the other side.
- Climb the ladder and the first crystal will be on the right.
- Notice a door on the left—open it to find a reward chest.
- Instead of placing the first crystal in the power socket, place it at the end of the room to form a stone bridge leading to the other side.
- Pick up the second crystal there, and now place both crystals in their sockets.
Once Bellara has checked all three artifacts, find her outside to end the quest. During the cutscene, Bellara opens up to Rook about her little brother, Cyrian.
