Dragon Age: The Veilguard offers many quests that provide a rich experience for players and keep them engaged. These quests range from story quests and companion quests to side (or regional) quests. Treviso, occupied by Antivan Crows, is one of the major regions of The Veilguard. It has the typical town look, bustling with people, shops, and markets.
The Partners In A Dangerous Crime side quest takes place in Treviso, where you must investigate a secret meeting between a Crow and a Venatori. How To Start the Partners in a Dangerous Crime Quest
The Partners in a Dangerous Crime quest becomes available once you complete the story quests Siege of Weisshaupt and The Cobbled Swan Case. Head to Cantori Diamond and go to the Crow Sanctum hideout to find Chance Candide. Interacting with him initiates the quest.
Next, head to the Streets of Coin Financial to locate the spies’ gondola. You’ll find a bridge to the right of the fast-travel beacon. Cross it to encounter several Venatori. After defeating the Venatori, head down the stairs to find a note near the water’s edge at the corner. Then, search around the Grande Market to locate another note.
How To Solve the Brazier Puzzle
Now, you must solve a puzzle in the alleyway. Solving the brazier puzzle is crucial to uncovering the conspiracy between a Crow and a Venatori. You need to light four unlit braziers in the area in a specific order to open the gate at the lower stairway.
Observe the candles near the four braziers; they indicate the order in which each brazier should be lit. The number of candles corresponds to the order of lighting.
Start by igniting the brazier with one candle, then follow the sequence by lighting the braziers with two, three, and finally four candles. This solves the brazier puzzle and opens the door near the four-candle brazier.
Turn in the Lovers or Warn Them: Consequences of Both Choices
Entering the opened room, you’ll find a note revealing the Crow and Venatori as secret lovers. At this point, you have two options: turn the couple into the Antivan Crows or warn them, allowing them to escape the town. Both choices end the quest, and you’ll be rewarded upon completion.
- Choosing to turn them in unlocks a new quest called Lethal Devotion, leading to a tragic end for the couple. However, this choice increases your reputation with the Antivan Crows.
- If you choose to warn them, the couple escapes, and the story concludes without a succeeding quest.
After making your choice, talk with Chance Candide to end the quest and get your rewards.
