After the unfortunate events of the battle at Nebakov Mill in which Henry and Hans gets abducted by Captain Zizka, Father Godwin comes to free them. In the process, Captain Zizka come out as an ally who did not know that he was on their side and mistook Henry and Hans’s involvement with von Bergow army. Despite the losses that both Hans side and Zizka side took, they are both now allies, and before planning the next step, we must bury the unfortunate and help the injured. In this guide, we will walk you through the Finger of God quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
The Finger of God Quest Overview in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
The Finger of God is a main quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 that begins automatically after completing the Divine Messenger quest. At the start of the quest, you have to go with Godwin to bury the unfortunate and then learn how to use a handgun (Pistole). After that, you can either sleep to end the day and pursue the quest or do a few optional objectives and sleep later. As the next day begins, Lord Otto von Bergow and his army come to Nebakov along with a few familiar faces. Again, you have to survive the assault and defend Nebakov.
How to Prepare for The Finger of God Quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2?
The Finger of God quest brings a surprising battle because, during the early objectives, you will not feel like you are going to ambush the next day. So, for you to have a perfect state when the ambush happens, you must repair your armour and sharpen the weapons. After completing a couple of main objectives, go to the main fortress and interact with the Sharpening Wheel beside the Smithy station to sharpen the weapons. If you have a Blacksmith Kit, use it to repair your armour pieces.
After that, the main objective will be to sleep to start the next day. However, we strongly suggest you that you go to Klara and help her get to the injured people. You will be able to ask her if you can spend some pleasant time with her and she will tell you that only if you help the others in the Lower Castle.
Now, the main reason we suggest you do it is to get the “Time Well Spent” buff because this buff increases all the main stats by 1-2 points. So, it will give you an advantage during the ambush and help you survive.
How to complete The Finger of God Quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2?
Completing the Finger of God quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 requires you first to bury the unfortunate. After that, you need to go with Godwin and check out a new weapon, Handgun (Pistole). Practice the Pistole weapon and then you can either head to sleep to start the next day or complete a few optional objectives. On the next day, you have to survive the ambush from von Bergow’s army.
Here are the objectives that you can complete during the Finger of God quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
1. Go with Godwin
As the quest officially begins, follow Godwin out of the fortress and to the burial site just outside of the fortress area. Along the way, you and Godwin will get to exchange some dialogues.
2. Bury the Dead
After reaching the burial site, Godwin will tell you to bury the three bodies. Pick up the spade beside one of the graves and dig the three graves. Once done, pick up the bodies one by one and drop each one into a grave that you just dug. As you put them into the grave, you will get the option to bury them.
3. Go to the fosse to talk to Godwin
After burying all the dead, make your way back to the fortress, and wait for Godwin to come to the fork just before the castle gate. There will be a table and a couple of targets at a distance. As Godwin stops at the table, speak with him. Here, you will get to learn how to use a Pistole and you can ask the soldier to explain it to you in detail.
After that, you will get to shoot the hand cannon alongside Godwin. Hold the L2 to load the pistol and then press the R2 to light the powder. The pistole will shoot at the point you are aiming. Make sure to aim efficiently to hit the targets. After shooting the pistole for three times, you will get to keep the pistole.
NOTE: Now, at this point, you will get a couple of optional objectives and a main objective of sleeping. However, we ended up exploring around and found that you can actually meet up with Klara and have a pleasant time with her if you help her with the wounded.
4. Help Klara get to the Wounded Prisoners
Go to the fortress and go up the stairs to find Klara having an argument with a couple of soldiers. Listen to the conversation and then speak with Klara. Ask them what is going on and tell the guards that “the prisoners need treatment.” A skill check will pop up and you need to select “Zizka lost the duel against me.” It will show you dominance over these soldiers and they will allow Klara to treat the prisoners.
Now, go to the cells and speak with Klara. Go through the dialogues and tell her that you can help her. She will tell you that there are three wounded in the lower castle.
5. Help the Wounded
Go to the lower cells to find the wounded, Mark, Zwerk, and Kozliek. Now, healing the wounded is not as easy as it sounds because most of them will not believe that you can do. However, to be honest, it does not really matter whether you treat all of them correctly or not, you will still complete a task for Klara.
So what we did was just look at their wounds and give them the things that they needed for their wounds like bandages and potions. Luckily, we treated Kozliek successfully and failed the treatment for Mark and Zwerk.
6. Go back to Klara
After treating the wounded, go back to Klara and speak with her. Ask her whether her work is finished for today or not, and then choose the following dialogue options to successfully have a chance of having a pleasant time with her.
- “Isn’t there anyone you care about here?”
- “No walk today, I reckon?”
After passing the skill check, she will tell you to get some rest and that she will see you when you go to bed.
7. Go to sleep in the cabin
Now, head inside the cabin where Klara usually treats people. Interact with the bed to sleep and a cutscene will begin.
8. Defend the Castle
After watching a long cutscene, prepare for a battle against the Prague Militia. Eliminate any soldier you see coming up from the ladders to the castle. As the militia put more ladders around the castle wall, you need to knock the ladders down. If you do not have a polearm, then run to the back room in the tower and pick up a Voulge. Use it to knock down the ladders and eliminate any soldier you see coming up.
9. Repel the attack on the gate
Now, go down from the tower and make your way above the gate on the other side. Here, you will have to drop the stones on the soldiers who trying to break the gate. Pick up the stone and then position yourself according to the soldier below. After that drop the stone on their head to prevent them from breaking the gate.
10. Repel the reserve attack and help Godwin in the courtyard
Speak with Zizka and go to the lower castle to eliminate the soldiers. Engage with the enemies one by one to defeat them easily. After repelling the reserve attack, go back up to the courtyard and eliminate as many enemies as you can until a cutscene begins.
As the cutscene ends, the Finger of God quest will conclude and The Storm quest will initiate.
Best tips and tricks to beat The Finger of God Quest
Here are some of the best tips and tricks to complete the Finger of God quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
- Before heading to sleep to start the next day, repair your armour and sharpen the weapons.
- Help Klara get to the injured people. Then help her by treating the injured people in the Lower Castle area. After that, go to sleep to have a pleasant time with Klara and get the “Time Well Spent” buff.
- As the ambush begins, run to the back room to pick a Voulge that will help you knock down the ladders.
- Do not engage yourself in the middle of von Bergow soldiers. Just survive the attack by taking out the soldiers one by one until the final cutscene begins.
Rewards for completing The Finger of God Quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
There are no rewards for completing The Finger of God quest because all of the characters will get prisoned again. This time at the Trosky Castle. However, during the “The Storm” quest, you will be able to get all of your stuff back including the Polearm weapon and Pistole which you got in The Finger of God quest.
