Dock Town is on the verge of self-implosion. With crimes rampant, courtesy of a powerful underground syndicate, and rival factions at a seemingly unending war, the town now has demonic rituals and evil magic to worry about. The ‘Snake Nest Deal’ quest in Dragon Age: The Veilguard spirals from a murder mystery to a horrifying demon hunt as you seek to learn the truth behind the Snake Nest in the ill-fated town.

In this guide, we shall go over the Snake Nest Deal quest in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, how to start it, and how to complete it.

How To Start the Snake Nest Deal Quest

You can start the quest by talking to Sabina at Ferryman Row. Head north from Glandivalis Square, through the Back Alley to Ferryman Row. As you enter the new area, you will find a woman sitting on the floor crying. Talk to her, and she will tell you of her husband, Atticus.

Atticus had gone to help a friend at the Snake Nest but never returned. His wife, Sabina, inquired but was told that Atticus had never come to the establishment. Sabina believes that she was lied to and asks you for help. Accept her request, and the quest will be added to your log.

How To Complete the Snake Nest Deal Quest

Inside the Snake Nest

After you’re done talking to Sabina, head straight down the path behind her and take the first right after exiting the tunnel. Pass through the Urthemiel Venue and keep heading straight east till you see a ladder in front of you. Climb up the ladder and keep going east through Spare Coin Way to reach the Snake Nest.

Enter the Snake Nest, go to the southern end of the room, and read the note on the desk. The note reveals that Linus is the Snake Nest’s owner and knows Atticus. Next, talk to the Bartender and ask her about the missing husband. She will tell you that she does not know of him and will mock your investigative efforts.

Head to the bonfire on the northern end of the room and investigate. You will find burned documents, but they’re too charred to be of any use.

Outside the Snake Nest

With your search inside the Snake Nest bearing no fruit, head back outside to find a crumpled note in front of the entrance. Climb the ladder next to the note and head to the upper levels. Here, you will find a blood trail and a child’s drawing. Follow the trail to the Rooftop Apartment. A note at the apartment reveals that Linus has a sick child and wishes to seek Atticus’ help.

Head back to the Bartender and confront her with the truth. The Bartender will crumble under pressure and reveal that Linus has been acting weird ever since his child fell sick. She then asks you to look into Linus’ behavior and gives you access to the storage room.

The Snake Nest Storage

Enter the storage room and interact with the bookshelf on your right to unlock a hidden room with a lever. Pull the lever in the room to unlock access to a hidden elevator. Take the elevator into the Catacombs and follow the path straight, and you will arrive at a ritual circle. A note at the circle will reveal that Linus made a pact with a demon to save his child. Linus’ body will be hanging near the circle. Interact with the body to obtain the key to his room.

Investigate Linus’ room near the circle, and you will find Atticus’ decaying body. Bash the wall next to Atticus to reveal a hidden path. Use the crystals near the path to open a portal leading back out. Use the second crystal to find a hidden pathway leading to a chest via a zipline. Head back to Sabina and talk to her to complete the quest.
