In Oblivion Remastered, you can become a vampire through the ‘Darkness Eternal,’ a quest in the Dark Brotherhood, or by contracting Porphyric Hemophilia from a vampire’s attack. In either case, you have three days to cure the Porphyric Hemophilia before you turn into a bloodthirsty creature of the night.

Once you do turn into a vampire, it is still possible to pass as a regular adventurer of Cyrodiil and travel during the day if your vampirism is kept at its first stage of 25%. In order to do so, you will need to feed once a day.

Keeping that in mind, this article will provide a guide on how to feed as a vampire in Oblivion Remastered.

Oblivion Remastered: Vampire Feeding Guide

To feed as a vampire, find a sleeping person, and use the interact button (E on PC) while sneaking. You will be given a choice between pickpocketing and feeding. Choose feeding to reset your Vampirism to 25%. This will not harm the NPC and doesn’t turn them into a vampire. For the most part, the NPC being fed upon will not catch you doing it. However, if someone sees you feeding, they will report it to the guards.

Since you can only feed on living humanoids, finding targets in public areas is the most convenient option. Beggars are a prime target, and members of a guild you have joined also become easy prey. Feeding on Imperial Guards will result in your detection, followed by an attempted arrest, and other vampires cannot be fed on. If you can lockpick, breaking into someone’s home and feeding on them offers a challenge and thrill in equal measure.

Vampirism has four stages determined by the time passed since the last feeding, ranging from 25% to 100% Vampirism. You gain 100% disease and paralysis resistance as soon as you become a Vampire, and each stage has its own increasing bonuses and weaknesses. The skills that gain a bonus include Acrobatics, Athletics, Destruction, Hand to Hand, Illusion, Mysticism, and Sneak. The attributes boosted include Strength, Willpower, and Speed.

Vampirism at 25%

Within the first 24 hours of becoming a vampire or since your last feeding, Vampirism is at 25%. You do not take damage from sunlight, have 5% resistance to normal weapons, and gain Hunter’s Sight. The attribute and skill bonuses are at 5%, and vulnerability to fire is at 20%.

Vampirism at 50%

On the second day since your last feeding, Vampirism is at 50%. You take 1 damage per second from sunlight, have 10% resistance to normal weapons, and gain Vampire’s Seduction. The attribute and skill bonuses are at 10%, and vulnerability to fire is at 30%.

Vampirism at 75%

During the third day since your last feeding, Vampirism is at 75%. You take 4 damage per second from sunlight, have 15% resistance to normal weapons, and gain Reign of Terror. The attribute and skill bonuses are at 15%, and vulnerability to fire is at 40%.

Vampirism at 100%

The fourth day onward since your last feeding, Vampirism is at 100%. You take 8 damage per second from sunlight, have 20% resistance to normal weapons, and gain Embrace of Shadows. The attribute and skill bonuses are at 20%, and vulnerability to fire is at 50%. Most civilians will refuse to speak to you, and guards will not accept your surrender when in pursuit.
