Discover the primary source of Abyss Currency, along with all details on how to get and use it in Throne And Liberty.
NCSoft’s recently launched MMO Throne And Liberty has various in-game currencies, with each having a specific purpose. Abyss Currency is one of them that comes in very handy during the end game. Once players reach level 50, they will need as much Abyss Currency as possible to proceed further.
In this article, we discuss the various ways you can get Abyss Currency in Throne and Liberty.
What is Abyss in Throne and Liberty?
Abyss Currency is one of the important resources in Throne and Liberty that helps the players to become stronger during the endgame, especially after Level 50. It is used to craft Precious Equipment Chests that guarantee a purple-quality Tier 3 item. It helps the players to increase the overall gear score so that players can dominate high-difficulty battles and dungeons. That said, don’t confuse Abyss Currency with Abyssal Contract Tokens, another type of currency in the game. While they sound similar, they are, in fact, quite different.
How to Get Abyss Currency in Throne And Liberty
Contracts are one of the primary sources of getting Abyss Currency. Once players reach level 50, they are able to buy Allied Resistance Forces Contracts from Sundries Merchants who can be found in every city. Completing them rewards players with Abyss Currency.
The Allied Resistance Forces Contracts have v2 variants:
- The cost of the lowest one is 10000 Sollant (plus taxes). You can purchase it three times per week.
- The cost of the highest one is 40000 Sollant. You can purchase it six times a week.
If you have an abundance of Sollant, then purchasing all these contracts gives you nine chances per city for a week.

Players can also get contracts by crafting Allied Resistance Forces Contracts. It can done through the Sundries Crafter using Sollant and Allied Forces Seals in every city. Several Daily Contracts also reward some Abyss Currency when completed.
Completing higher-difficulty dungeons and end-game quests can also grant Abyss Currency, but they are yet to be available.
How to Use Abyss Currency in Throne And Liberty
Unlike other currencies, players can’t trade Abyss Currency with a vendor. Abyss Currency can be used to craft various Precious Equipment Chests, with each costing 80 Abyss Currency. Each chest contains several Purple-quality items of Tier 3. Players can select one item from the list. Equipping the item increases the overall gear score regardless of the type, whether it is armor, accessory, or weapon.
