In Throne and Liberty, you can get Ornate Coins, used to purchase various items, by completing and filling out the Collections Codex.
Amazon Games’s epic MMORPG, Throne and Liberty, launched to a global audience on October 1, 2024. The game has a variety of in-game currencies, including Lucent, Sollant, and Ornate Coins. Unlike the former two, Ornate Coins are finite coins and it is very hard to get them. They are precious in-game currencies, but you can collect them in several ways.
What are Ornate Coins in Throne and Liberty?
Ornate Coins are a unique currency in Throne and Liberty and can only be spent in the game’s main cash Shop, rather than with any in-game merchants. However, unlike the premium currency of Lucent, ornate coins cannot be purchased directly with real money. Moreover, you cannot by them with the in-game currency of Sollant.
There are currently two main ways to get ornate coins, which we will cover in detail below.
How to Get Ornate Coins in Throne and Liberty
The best way to get Ornate Coins is through the Collections Codex. Collect the mysterious notes that are glowing purple throughout the world of Solisium to fill out the Collections Codex. Collecting the purple mysterious notes grants players three Ornate Coins. Exploring every point of interest in the game is the best way to collect these mysterious notes and, hence, Ornate Coins.
Check carefully in all locations, such as buildings, camps, ruins, and places with many NPCs. Along with the Ornate Coins, these mysterious notes also reveal lores and stories of the Solisium. You can check your Collections Codex list and how many notes are left to collect by opening the menu > Codex > Collection.
Twitch Drops also rewards Ornate Coins from September 26 to October 15. During this period, players can get the currency along with other rewards by watching Throne and Liberty videos on Twitch.
Ornate Coins you can get from Twitch Drops:
- Watch 2 hours to unlock +100 Ornate Coins.
- Watch 6 hours to unlock +150 Ornate Coins.
- Watch 12 hours to unlock +250 Ornate Coins.
One additional and fun fact about Ornate Coins is that they are associated with your character, instead of your account. If you are creating a new character, you have to collect and fill out the Collections Codex again from the beginning.
How to Use Ornate Coins in Throne and Liberty
Getting Ornate Coins in Throne and Liberty can be difficult. So you need to use them efficiently and wisely. Head to the in-game shop and the Ornate Coins section. You can purchase Growthstones, Growth Books, and several other items with Ornate Coins. It can also be used to buy cute Amitoi like Fairy Merlin and Lanlan Thwomp, which cost 1500 and 1200 Ornate Coins, respectively.
There is a finite cap for the number of items you can buy with the character. Some items in the shops can be bought only once, whereas some others can be refreshed weekly and monthly. Since these Ornate Coins are finite and so hard to get, it is recommended to use them wisely.
