The Breaching Pikestaff is a two-handed pike weapon that has extra reach, a +2 weapon enchantment, and deals additional Force damage on a successful hit. Additionally, this weapon grants the wielder Extra Reach, meaning that you can attack enemies who are farther away than normal. How to Get Breaching Pikestaff in BG3
To get the Breaching Pikestaff in Baldur’s Gate 3 you must find the Ancient Lair in the Undercity Ruins and take the weapon from the open sarcophagus in the center of the room. It is highly recommended that you send one invisible party member in to take the staff, however, because removing it will wake up all of the corpses and start a fight.
To find the Ancient Lair in BG3, first make your way into the Lower City Sewers and move north until you discover the Undercity Ruins. Shortly after entering this new section of the sewers, there will be a path that turns to the left/west. Down here you will find Voiceless Penitent Bareki, who has some other nice items for sale.
Next, keep moving west down the pathway and you will find stairs that lead up to a Passageway. Click to enter and you will find yourself in the antechamber of the Ancient Lair. Father inside, you can easily find the Breaching Pikestaff sitting in plain sight inside an open coffin. Take the pike, but be prepared to sneak away or deal with a large fight against many undead.

Proficiency with the Pike weapon type will unlock three abilities when you equip it to your main hand:
- Rush Attack: Charge forward and attack the first enemy in your way, possibly pushing them Off Balance.

- Brace: Spend 6 m / 20 ft of your movement. For the rest of your turn, roll melee damage twice and use the highest result.

The Breaching Pikestaff is a good weapon to use with frontline, tanky fighters. To start combat you can charge forward with the Rush Attack ability. This not only gives you a chance to push your target Off Balance, but it immediately puts you into the thick of things. If there is a large group of enemies nearby, the Extra Reach you get using the Breaching Pikestaff means that you could potentially get multiple Attacks of Opportunity.
