You can get cactus flowers by either looking for naturally growing cacti in the desert or growing them yourself. This type of flower has a chance to spawn on top of a cactus. The probability increases based on the following conditions:
- There is a 10% chance of a cactus flower growing on top of a one-block-high cactus.
- If the cactus is three blocks or higher, there is a 25% chance for a cactus flower to grow.
- Cactus Flowers will only grow if they have space on all four sides.
Keep in mind that once a cactus flower spawns on top of a cactus, it will no longer grow taller unless you remove the flower. Just like the cactus itself, the flower cannot grow if there are adjacent blocks on each of its sides. However, the flower does not break when you place a block beside it.
Tips and Tricks To Grow Cactus Flowers
To efficiently grow cactus flowers, you need to stack three cactus blocks. This increases their spawn rate to the maximum. This means you get to harvest these flowers more frequently.
Additionally, you need to keep each cactus one block apart so they won’t break. You can place them in a checkerboard pattern. However, make sure to save at least one block of space so you can reach them to harvest the cactus flowers.
