How to Get Charcoal in Enshrouded
To get Charcoal in Enshrouded you will have to craft them out of Wood Logs and Dirt in the Charcoal Kiln. Furthermore, before you can start crafting Charcoal you will first need the Charcoal Kiln, which you can get by finding and waking the Blacksmith. He is also the first survivor that the game directs you to and is relatively easy to find in the starting area.
As soon as you place the Blacksmith in some shelter at your base, the Charcoal Kiln will be available for crafting. It only takes 20 Stone to make. Consequently, you can easily gather stone with a basic pickaxe by breaking up rocks you find in the area around your first base.
What is Charcoal, and what is it used for?
The first thing you will want to use Charcoal for is to craft another Blacksmith crafting station called the Forge. This will allow you to be able to craft Metal Sheets, which will be a necessary component for crafting stronger armors and shields. Thankfully, once you have the Charcoal Kiln it’s very easy to make a lot of Charcoal. All you will need is at least 17 Wood Logs and 3 Dirt.
Next, to craft a Forge you will need:
- 30 Stone
- 10 Metal Scraps
- 10 Charcoal
- 12 Wood Logs
Additionally, you will also need Charcoal to craft Metal Sheets and various metal bars. Both will be critical to crafting your character new armors and shields as they level up. Moreover, you will still with it with other types of metal ores you can craft into bars. These include Tin, Bronze, and Iron. You’ll be using a lot of charcoal throughout the game,
To craft Metal Sheets in Enshrouded you will need:
- 2 Charcoal
- 2 Metal Scraps
To craft Copper Bars in Enshrouded you will need:
- 20 Charcoal
- 20 Copper Ore
