How to get Knock Knuckle Gloves in BG3?
To get the Knock Knuckle Gloves in BG3 you will need to reach the Counting House in the Lower City, gain entrance to the vaults, and then unlock High Security Vault n°7 in the basement.
Step 1- Get a Bank Pass and Solve the Vault Puzzle
The first step to reaching the high security vaults in the Counting House is getting a Bank Pass so you can get downstairs. Speak to Head Clerk Meadhoney and you can get a pass by either spending a lot of gold or convincing him to give you one. Additionally, you can steal one from the first office up the stairs.
Next, show your pass to the guards in front of the iron gate before heading down the first set of stairs. Turn right and head down into another room with more guards. You will have to show your pass one more time before moving on through a large vault door.
This next area will have a room full of regular vaults to the north and several safes in a room to the south. The high security vaults are farther ahead, and you need to solve a code first. In the room with the numbered floor plates, step on the numbers in this order: 1-3-5-6. Break off one character from the group to do this, otherwise, your companions will likely step on incorrect tiles as you move around.
Step 2- How to Unlock High Security Vault n°7
If this is the first time down in the High Security Vaults room, then you will first see a cutscene play out and then need to fight off some assassins. Afterward, you will be free to move around the room.
There are nine total high security vaults here, and n°7 can be found next to n°8 on the west side. The best way to unlock the High Security vaults is by bringing one character (companion Astarion is very good for this) that has a high Dexterity and is proficient in Sleight of Hand.
On the other hand, if you would rather have the key to unlock High Security Vault n°7, you can get it by stealing it from Nine-Fingers Keene in The Guildhall.
Additionally, bring along some Arrows of Darkness. Then, shoot an arrow in between the two vaults so the darkness covers both. Use Astarion to unlock the vault and take the Knock Knuckle Gloves. Furthermore, there should be enough time left on the Darkness spell to unlock and steal from High Security Vault n°8, if you like.
How to use Knock Knuckle Gloves in BG3?
The best way to use the Knock Knuckle Gloves in BG3 is by equipping them to a Rogue, Ranger, or Bard when they need to lock pick, pick pocket, or disarm a trap. These gloves are meant for breaking into things, and general thievery. They aren’t really going to help you out much in combat. Therefore, the best thing to do is to keep them in your character’s inventory. Then, equip them as needed when your character needs to steal or break open a lock.
