How to Get Linen in Enshrouded
To get Linen in Enshrouded you will have to craft it out of Flax, which is a blue flower you can find anywhere in the overland world. Furthermore, the Revelwood region, which you can reach after strengthening your Flame Alter to Level 3, probably has the most wild Flax growing.
However, you actually don’t need to worry too much about constantly harvesting this plant in the wild. This is because once you have found the Farmer, you can start to create Flax seedlings and farm as much as you need.
You’ll likely first find and rescue the Hunter before the Farmer, and one of the quests she gives you will point you towards the Farmer’s Vault. You can find the Farmer’s Vault in the far northern part of the Springlands region. As with all of the other craftspeople, once you rescue her you’ll have to summon her in a sheltered area back at your base. Only then will you finally be able to craft and plant things with her.
How to Farm Linen in Enshrouded
In order to grow Flax on your own, you’ll need to craft a Seed Bed with the Farmer. First, create some Farm Soil by combining 7 Dirt with 3 Bonemeal. Then you can use the following items to craft a Seed Bed:
- 10 Wood Logs
- 2 Metal Scraps
- 10 Farm Soil
Second, you will use the Seed Bed to grow Flax Seedlings. You’ll need 2 Water and 1 Flax in order to create 10 Flax Seedlings. Once the Seedlings are done, take them from the Seed Bed and place them in one of your action bars. Then, within the confines of your base, plant them anywhere you like. It can just be in normal ground, you don’t have to do anything special.
Next, give the Flax time to grow. Do some exploring or finish some quests. Eventually when you come back your seedlings will turn into blue Flax and you can harvest it like normal.
Finally, before you can start crafting Linen with your Flax you will need the Hand Spindle, which is one of the Hunter’s crafting stations. The Hunter will give you a quest which will take you to a town called Wescott in the Revelwood region. From there, this quest will send you to a couple more locations before you venture into an underground cave filled with spiders. Once you’ve defeated them, you can pick up the brightly glowing spindle and return to the Hunter.
Now you are finally ready to craft Linen! To make 1 Linen you’ll need to have 2 Flax flowers.

Linen will be absolutely necessary for crafting armor in Enshrouded because it is a base component to creating Padding. Moreover, you will need lots of Padding in the later game because it is an essential ingredient for all advanced armor.

- 2 Resin
- 3 Linen
