Don’t let the giant Blight blockage in The Singing Blade quest keep you from retrieving the lyrium dagger in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
All players are bound to encounter the Blight during The Singing Blade quest while playing through Dragon Age: The Veilguard. You won’t have much information on how to get rid of it, so the process may get quite confusing.
When you are trying to catch the “dagger thief” in this quest, you will come across a giant Blight blockage. It is located right across a floating stone bridge, which is powered by a Power Crystal placed near the Blight. The blockage in question is gray in color, meaning you can’t get rid of it directly.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard – Obliterating the Blight in The Singing Blade
Once you reach the Cliffside Passage, look at the Blight from a distance, preferably from across the bridge. The gray bulge represents that this Blight can’t be dealt with directly. But since there are no alternative ways, there will be a source that you need to destroy first. Look to the left side of the gray bulge to spot a red, glowing, bulbous boil. This is the first source.
Attack it from a distance since you can’t possibly reach it. One hit should be sufficient to burst it. It is indeed not the prettiest sight you see but there is no other way.
The second source is located below the bridge. For this, move to the gray bulge and take out the Power Crystal from its socket to retreat the bridge. Look at the far end of the bridge that is now gone (where you came from) and you will see the source stuck on a wall (refer to the image above). Destroy it as you did before.
Wait a while to let its supply to the gray bulge cut off. Now, the main big bulge has also turned red. Attack it and the Blight will go away, allowing you to pass.
Don’t put the Power Crystal back. Instead, carry it with you to the room inside and put it in the socket there to progress further in the story.
The rest of the path is not that tricky. We hope you are able to retrieve your lyrium dagger just fine.
