What is Stillmaker in BG3?

In Baldur’s Gate 3, Stillmaker is a decent place holder, or back-up dagger to use while you’re working on getting something like Rhapsody. This Very Rare weapon has an additional +1d4 Piercing on top of the base damage. Additionally, equipping it grants the party member the ability to cast Hold Person once per Long Rest.

Hold Person is a Level 3 Enchantment Spell, and when successfully cast has the effect of holding a humanoid enemy still. They can’t move, act or react. Attacks from within 3m are always Critical Hits. This is a handy spell for any Rogue or Ranger to use when caught to close to a melee damage dealer. A successful cast would allow them to move and get away from the enemy without provoking any Attacks of Opportunity.

How to Get Stillmaker in Baldur’s Gate 3?

To get Skillmaker in Baldur’s Gate 3 you must find and explore the cave areas underneath the Open Hand Temple in Act 3, where the dagger is hidden away in a hole requiring a DC5 Perception Check. You can get to the Open Hand Temple in early Act 3 while you’re still in the Rivington area. From the Rivington Waypoint, head almost straight north until you get to the Open Hand Temple. This large structure should be on your left.

To get to the cave spaces beneath the Temple you’ll want to head inside and walk down the north end of the building and into the kitchen area. Over on the left you’ll find an Ornate Hatch. Clicking on this will take you to some storage rooms below.

From the smaller room you find yourself in, you’ll want to move out into a larger middle room. This space will have three open doorways into different rooms, including the one you just came out of. One the fourth wall, between some statues is a stone arch across a stone wall. There is a secret door that you can open by finding the button to it on the south side wall. See image below.

Find the Hidden Rocky Hole

The next step in Baldur’s Gate 3 How to Get Stillmaker in Baldur’s Gate 3: After making your way through, head forward and across some rickety looking wooden walkways. If you haven’t been to this area before, there will be enemies to fight. These are just basic enemies, though, so rest up if needed but they shouldn’t be too much of a problem. When they’re defeated, head down and check out the ritualistic area full of bodies. One of those bodies, if you’re looking, will have the torso portion of Dribbles the Clown.

What you’re looking for is just to the north of the body. Right before the rock ledge/ladder which you can climb down there will be a DC5 Perception check to find a rocky hole. Given the low DC at least one of your party members should find it. Click to interact with it, and you will find Stillmaker!

How Stillmaker is beneficial in BG3?
