Strange Tendril Amulet - BG3

The Strange Tendril Amulet is an accessory that grants the user Evard’s Black Tentacles spell once per long rest. This spell is helpful because it creates a wide 6-meter radius, dealing bludgeoning damage upfront and lingering in the area. As creatures move through the area left behind, they take bludgeoning damage. How to get Strange Tendril Amulet in BG3

To get the Strange Tendril Amulet, move to the House of Healing Morgue on the west side of the shadow-cursed lands in Act 2. Once you enter the Morgue, go to left after the initial room (south on themap). Here, you will need to pass a perception check to locate a button that lowers a wall leading to an extra room. You can see on your map that there will be more space; therefore, scan the wall for the button and bring a high wisdom character like Shadowheart the cleric.

Once you press the button, the wall will lower. Enter the room and locate a wooden chest at coordinates X: 85 Y: -1007. Now you have the Strange Tendril Amulet.

How to use Strange Tendril Amulet in BG3?

The best use for the Strange Tendril Amulet is using the Evard’s Black Tentacles on choke points where limiting enemy movement is important. The spell itself can deal great damage, 3d6 bludgeoning in a 6-meter radius. However, it does require concentration and lingers in the area until 10 turns or concentration is broken.

Additionally, the black tentacles’ effects that linger turns the terrain difficult, thus dealing 3-8 damage to any creature entering. This is a very helpful spell during Halsin’s side quest where hordes of mobs rush you. Any fight that has a choke point where your team has the high ground, drop the Evard’s Black Tentacles and watch melee builds suffer.
