How to Get Surgeon’s Subjugation Amulet in Baldur’s Gate 3
To get the Surgeon’s Subjugation Amulet in Baldur’s Gate 3, you must find Malus Thorm in House of Healing during Act 2.
To obtain the Surgeon’s Subjugation Amulet, you’ll need to locate a doctor named Malus Thorm in the House of Healing (X: -195 Y: 49), situated directly southwest of the Last Light Inn (refer to the map above) or on the northwest side of the map. The most accessible route to his surgery room is through the main hall, but you can also reach it by entering from the back room with an entrance from the cemetery or through the library from the rooftop.
Once you’ve found Malus Thorn on the ground level of the House of Healing, you can resolve this quest in a few ways. Pass a persuasion check to convince the doctor to become the “living medical mannequin” himself, leading to the nurses killing him. Alternatively, you can engage them in combat, defeating all the nurses and the surgeon to obtain the amulet. Regardless of how you choose to handle the situation, loot the Surgeon’s Subjugation Amulet from his body, and add this new gear item to your collection!
Malus Thorm will also have the Battered Lute in his inventory. This quest item is crucial for waking up Art Cullagh in Last Light Inn and a necessary step to successfully recruit Halsin to your party and aid in healing the Shadow-Cursed Lands.
