The bonus trait on this heavy crossbow is called the Revenant Scourge. It will boost your both your attack and damage rolls by +1d4 anytime you fire at an undead creature.

How to Get The Long Arm of the Gur in BG3?
To get The Long Arm of the Gur in BG3 you will need to reach the Counting House in the Lower City, gain entrance to the vaults, and then unlock High Security Vault n°3 in the basement.
Step 1- Bank Pass and Vault Puzzle
First, head to the south-center of the Lower City map to find the location of the Counting House in BG3. You’ll need to find a Bank Pass to get to the vaults below, and there are a couple of options. First, you can speak to Head Clerk Meadhoney. You can either spend a lot of gold to buy a pass from him, or persude him to give you one. The second option is to sneak up the stairs to the first office on the left and steal the one inside there.
Then, show your pass to the guards in front of the iron gate to be allowed inside. Down the stairs and again to the right you will find a room with more guards. You can use the same pass as before to prove you have permission to be there.
This next area will have a room full of regular vaults to the north and several safes in a room to the south. The high security vaults are farther ahead, and you need to solve a code first. In the room with the numbered floor plates, step on the numbers in this order: 1-3-5-6. Break off one character from the group to do this, otherwise, your companions will likely step on incorrect tiles as you move around.
Step 2- How to Unlock High Security Vault n°3
The first time you visit the High Security Vaults room you will have to watch a particular cut scene play-out. It’s recommended that you have Jahiera in your party if you are trying to recruit Minsc. After the scene, a fight will trigger and you’ll face several assassin enemies. Once they are defeated, you will be free to move around the room.
There are nine total high security vaults here, and n°3 can be found on the south side of the room. The best way to unlock the High Security vaults is by bringing one character who has a high Dexterity and is proficient in Sleight of Hand. If you recruited Astarion in Act 1, he is very good for this)
A second option is to use the key to vault n°3, you can get it by taking it from Cazador’s Sarcophagus in the Szarr Dungeon.
If you plan to lockpick the vaults, bring along some Arrows of Darkness. First, shoot an arrow in between two vaults so the darkness covers both. Then, use Astarion to unlock the vault and take The Long Arm of the Gur. Furthermore, there should be enough time left on the Darkness spell to unlock and steal from High Security Vault n°2, if you like.
How to Use The Long Arm of the Gur in BG3?
The best way to use The Long Arm of the Gur in BG3 is by equipping it to any ranged build or class such as Rogue or Ranger. Although this heavy crossbow isn’t a best-in-slot item, which you will find more of in Act 3, it can be very useful in fights against undead creatures.
Additionally, in a situation where you are about to fight such creatures, The Long Arm of the Gur would be a good option for any class as a secondary weapon.
