To farm tin ore in Enshrouded, you’ll want to bring a Pickaxe with you. The higher the quality of your Pickaxe, the faster you’ll be able to farm tin.
You can also spend points in two skills to increase your mining efficiency. Putting two points into the Core Skill “Mason,” increases the damage your Pickaxe does to stone objects. This includes resource veins, allowing you to mine quicker. This is helpful to put points into as you upgrade your Pickaxe, further increasing your mining speed.
If you put points in the Core Skill “Miner,” you’ll have a 10% chance to gain extra resources when mining. Each of these skills ultimately decreases the amount of time it takes to farm a set amount of tin in Enshrouded.
Always Prepare to Farm Materials
There are a few things you should keep in mind when farming tin ore in Enshrouded.
You use stamina when you farm with the Pickaxe. If you bring honey or other consumables with stamina regeneration or endurance (max stamina), you can farm for longer.
You can also bring a flame altar when you travel to farm tin ore to dramatically increase your farming efficiency in Enshrouded. You don’t want to spend all of your time traveling to the ore destination, so you can place your flame alter right outside the ore’s location. This allows you to restart your game, and the tin ore deposits will replenish when you log back into the game.
To ensure you don’t lose durability during your farm, you can also place a workbench in this area, allowing you to repair your Pickaxe next to the node.
What Is Tin Used For in Enshrouded?
Tin is a basic crafting material. You need A LOT of tin ore to make bronze gear in Enshrouded. You combine tin bars with copper bars to create bronze, allowing you to create all kinds of level 18 bronze gear. One of the first things you can do with your bronze to save time is to upgrade your Pickaxe first, making the tin farming process much quicker.
You can also build bronze axes for faster chopping. Both of these tools will chop much faster than their copper versions, making them an easy first-upgrade choice.
As you can see above, you need a lot of tin for the smelter. A single tin bar requires 20 tin ore, and you need 3 tin bars to craft bronze bars. That’s 60 tin ore before you can make your first batch of bronze bars. Though you do receive 10 bronze bars, the input tin cost is still very high, and you will quickly run through all of your tin.
