The Nightflower Pollen is one of the rarest resources to obtain in Monster Hunter Wilds. The rarity of the resource is understandable considering it’s used to craft the Gold Melding Ticket, which can be used to meld Decorations and Artian Parts at the Wyvern Melder. However, obtaining the Nightflower Pollen is incredibly difficult as not only is it tied to very specific weather conditions, but also “phases of the moon.”

That’s right, you’ll have to be mindful of the lunar phases before you can gather the Nightflower Pollen, which isn’t an easy task. There’s no in-game way to track the different phases of the moon, or even cycle through them. The only way to figure out the perfect phase is to travel to the Plains and look for the moon.

The appearance of the Nightflower Pollen (Ephemeral Blossoms) is more or less random. However, there are still a few ways to easily get the Nightflower Pollen, albeit in limited quantities.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Nightflower Pollen in Monster Hunter Wilds, and how to obtain it.

Conditions To Find Nightflower Pollen in Monster Hunter Wilds

To get the Nightflower Pollen in Monster Hunter Wilds, you need to harvest Ephemeral Blossoms, which appear exclusively during Fallow or Plenty in Windward Plains, and occasionally, in Scarlet Forest. However, to gather these resources, your best bet is Windward Plains and the regions close to the Wind’s Gasp.

In addition to this, there’s another requirement for the Nightflower Pollen (Ephemeral Blossoms) to spawn, that being a Full Moon. So essentially, it needs to be Nighttime with Full Moon, in the season of Plenty or Fallow, for the Ephemeral Blossoms to spawn. Once the perfect combination of these things does happen, you will get an in-game notification of the Ephemeral Blossoms’ appearance.

However, you can’t simply force-spawn the Ephemeral Blossoms by changing the time of day to Nighttime. Instead, you will have to make sure that the weather conditions are right, and that the moon is in the Waxing Gibbous phase, i.e., the phase right before the full moon. You can, however, change the time of day and weather conditions and try to get as close to the full moon as possible.

Here’s how you can manually change the time and weather to get a full moon and force-spawn the Ephemeral Blossoms:

  • Rest at one of the Pop-up Camps in the Plains (we recommend the Oasis Pop-up Camp).
  • Change the time to Evening and the weather to Plenty.
  • Once the time is changed, head north from the Pop-up Camp toward the Desert.
  • Look for the moon in the sky and wait till it reaches the full moon phase (which can take roughly 1 hour in real-time).

If you don’t reach the full moon phase, head back to the Pop-up Camp and reset the time to Morning without changing the weather. After that, change back to Evening.

Repeat this process until you see the full moon. Once the conditions are met, you will get a notification of the Ephemeral Blossoms’ appearance on the right-hand side of the screen. The Ephemeral Blossoms usually spawn near Area 10 in Windward Plains. You can also track the Ephemeral Blossoms using the map.

How To Farm Nightflower Pollens?

Before the most recent update (March 10, 2025), starting the quest A Leviathan’s Temper in the Scarlet Forest allowed you to grab an Ephemeral Blossom. However, this has been patched out of the game. Now, the only best way to farm the Ephemeral Blossoms is to use the Oasis Pop-up Camp trick mentioned above.

We’ve also found that certain Tempered Investigations (Arkveld and Balahara) can spawn the Ephemeral Blossoms in Windward Plains. However, it’s not a guaranteed spawn. If you do find an optional Investigation that does come with the Ephemeral Blossoms, you can always save them and retry them. This isn’t an infinite farming trick, but it does help you gather at least 4 of these resources.
