Learning how to sell valuables is essential in a game like Dragon Age: The Veilguard. It has purposes beyond a player’s greed for in-game currency. If you are looking to increase your loyalty with a certain faction, selling Valuables is one way to do it, and this is why the selling mechanism is a little complex in the game.

If you can’t find a way to clear out these expensive-looking items from your inventory even at a merchant, it’s because the developers have designated different kinds of merchants for these Valuables. (Un)fortunately, you can only sell your Valuables to Faction Merchants and not the regular ones.

Once you interact with a Faction Merchant, you will receive a big SELL option. Go there, and all you can sell is your Valuables. However, be careful because not all Faction Merchants offer the same price for each Valuable. Hover over a particular item on the selling screen, and its description will tell you which faction will find it more valuable by using their logo. Sell individual items by hovering over the particular item, or if all the items will benefit the faction whose merchant you are interacting with, you can safely click Sell All.

Each item will grant you Faction Strength in addition to the Gold that the Merchants offer. The Antivan Crow Merchant in Treviso and the Veil Jumper Camp in Arlathan Forest are two key locations that you can visit to sell your valuables.

While playing Dragon Age: The Veilguard, you will go on various adventures across the vast map. You might find yourself in open fields, but sometimes in closed dungeons as well. Either way, there will be loot lying around. Sometimes, the enemies you slay will also drop some loot. There is a chance that this loot may be a valuable item. You can also look for them in treasure chests. Gather as many as you can on an adventure before you sell these Valuables.

These can include Precious Stones, Antique Artifacts, or Regular Items that are not that rare but can be sold regardless of their commonality. Don’t discard these items thinking that they don’t matter because one of the Faction Merchants will surely offer a good price for them. Make sure to check which faction will benefit more and which merchant is offering a better price for a specific item.

Weigh your pros and cons like a true trader before selling your Valuables.
