FragPunk, a 5v5 hero shooter game, is finally out for PC. The variety it offers in Lancers, Shard Cards, Maps, and Weapons keeps the game fresh. There are 13 Lancers, 150+ Shard Cards, 13 Maps, and 21 weapons.

Unlike any other hero shooter game, the movement pattern in the game is slightly different. Moreover, it does not even feature sliding, a tactic movement essential during combats. However, there are ways by which you can still slide in FragPunk. This detailed guide will tell you how to slide in FragPunk.

Sliding is a feature that players can use to dodge enemy attacks and enhance the gameplay. The game offers two methods to slide in FragPunk: one by unlocking a specific Shard Card and the other by unlocking a unique hero (Lancer), Axon. Here are the further details on both methods:

  1. Unlocking Shard Cards: The game offers a vast collection of over 160 Shard Cards, each with an exclusive power. One such card, the Frozen Wasteland Shard Card, changes the map’s environment to an icy terrain, making the floor slippery. Once the map transforms into a frozen landscape, you can slide by sprinting and pressing the crouch button or jumping and pressing the crouch button.
  2. Unlock Axon: The Frozen Wasteland Shard Card only allows you to slide on one specific map. However, if you want to slide in every map, you must unlock the Rock and Roll Lancer, Axon. You can either purchase Axon or unlock him through a trophy you receive early in the game. Purchasing him will cost you 18,888 Gold or 488 FragPunk coins. Once you unlock Axon, you can slide in any map by sprinting and pressing crouch.

The default controls for some of the required movements are:

  • Jump / Vault: A / X for Controller and Spacebar for PC.
  • Sprint: Left Stick (L3) for Controlle and Left Shift for PC.
  • Crouch: B / Circle for Controller and Left Ctrl (Hold) or C (Toggle) for PC.

However, you can rebind these controls according to your choice. Sliding in FragPunk will give a significant advantage in combats. Keep practicing, and you will soon be sliding like a pro!
