Want to obtain a rare sword? Here is everything you need to know about the Absolver Task in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 offers a rich storyline that dives into its immersive RPG world. Apart from the regular main story missions in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, there are several side quests and side missions. One such quest is the Absolver Task, which features a sword you must steal and forge.

Overview of Absolver Task in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
Once you complete the Speak of the Devil mission in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, head to the Blacksmith in Miskowitz to obtain a quest. Upon asking, he will inform you about a quest giver, Thomas of Kolin, a soldier in Sigismund’s camp at the Kuttenberg region.
Upon your arrival at the Sigismund’s camp, you can find Thomas with the help of the map. After talking to him, he will tell you about the Absolver sword owned by Basan. He will further task you to steal the Absolver sword and replace it with its replica. The objectives of the mission are:
- Stealing the Absolver sword from Basan’s chest.
- Forging the sword.
- Returning to Thomas.
Stealing the Absolver Sword and Forging its Replica
To find Basan’s tent, go to the far end of the tournament venue. After a sharp left turn, you will see a white tent with green trim at the top. Head inside the tent; you will spot a chest. Use your lockpick skills to unlock the chest and grab the Absolver sword.
Next, go to any blacksmith to forge a replica of the Absolver sword. To forge the sword, you will need the following items:
- Deer Skin
- Eight-sided Sword Pommel
- Horned Sword Guard
- 2x Frankfurt Steel
- 2x Iron
Once you have the Absolver sword and its replica in hand, return to Thomas to complete the mission.
Completing the Absolver Task in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
After you locate Thomas in the camp, you can hand him the original sword or its replica. Both choices will not impact the outcome. Afterwards, he will reward you with 607.9 Groschen. Additionally, you can forge two replicas, give one to Thomas, and put the other in Basan’s chest. This way, you will obtain the reward and the sword as well.
