The Civitas Pragensis quest takes place right after The Italian Job, and it is the second quest once you enter the point of no return in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. The mission is also one of the shortest in the entire game. It is not difficult at all, but it does have some important decisions that will change the outcome of your journey.

In the mission, Henry will confront Erik one last time, and they will fight in a duel. Additionally, you can also weaken Erik with certain dialogue options before the fight begins. Now, we will go through the entire Civitas Pragensis quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.

How To Complete the Civitas Pragensis Quest

Let’s start at the beginning (Image via Deep Silver, Plaion)

First, Henry and his allies will celebrate their successful heist. And after that, you can choose to duel with Erik. Talk to Zizka, and he will tell you that Sigismund’s army has retreated. Use all of your lines with Zizka because it does not really matter what you say here.

Now, it is time to say goodbye to Rosa. She will be standing at the exit of the Suchdol castle. You will get the objective to talk to two other people; however, both of them are optional.

Speak to Janosh first; he will be in the courtyard. You will get a marker on your map, so it won’t be difficult to find him. He will only have one dialogue option. Next, go and sit with your other allies, including Dry Devil. They will be in the courtyard as well, sitting on a table. Use the line “To the fallen” to gain some reputation here. Ask the remaining questions to complete the objective.

A Proposal From Erik

If you have romanced Rosa in the past, then she will kiss you goodbye. After that, a cutscene will begin, and Kubayenka will appear. He will tell you that Erik wants a duel with you. Even if you reject the proposal at first, you can change your decision later on.

Note that what you do next will decide if you fight Erik or not. It is an optional objective. If you choose not to fight him, then the quest will end right there. However, if you accept the duel, remember that it will be one of the hardest fights in KCD 2. Either way, go and tell Zizka what you want to do.

Zizka will be in the courtyard; talk to him and tell him that Erik has challenged you to a duel. Tell him that you have accepted the quest and then go and speak to the guard at the gate and ask him to let you leave.

Duel Accepted (Optional)

We recommend that you use the sharpening stone at the stables to repair your weapons before you go to the duel. And do not forget to maximize your health by eating food or potions. Additionally, use any combat perks of your choice to make things easier for you. Also, bring your best gear to the fight and use master strikes and slab attacks as much as you can.

If you accept the duel, you will get a cutscene. During that cutscene, you will see Henry going to Sigismund’s camp to fight Erik. Speak to Erik before the fight, and if you win the skill checks, it will be much easier for you to win the duel as well.

Erik is a tough enemy. He can absorb a lot of attacks, so naturally, the fight will last a long time. You will need to stay calm. Be patient and focus on avoiding getting damaged. But if you think the duel is too difficult, then you can just reload a previous save and decline the duel.

The Siege Begins

Once Erik is defeated once and for all, Markvart von Aulitz will lay siege to Suchdol on behalf of Sigismund. You will then learn that Sigismund’s army did not retreat after the last mission, and they are coming back for the silver. The outcome will remain even if you decline the duel. That marks the end of the Civitas Pragensis quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. When the siege starts, the next quest will begin.
