Troubadours is a side quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, accessible during the game’s early stages. The mission requires helping two musicians from Zhelejov. This walkthrough will guide you to complete the Troubadours mission in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.
Location of the Troubadours Mission in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2
Head to Zhelejov Wagoners’ Inn in the Trosky area to begin the quest. You will find George and Michael at a table in the tavern. Talk to them, and they will explain their dire need for a lute that is hanging on the wall of the carpenter’s house. Assure them that you will bring it.
Getting a Lute
Visit the carpenter’s house located at Troskowitz. Upon enquiring about the lute, he will tell that someone brought the lute for repair. He will refuse to sell it to you. The only option left is to steal it.
Wait for midnight. Showcase your lockpicking skills and enter the house. On the left side, you will see the lute hanging on the wall. Steal it and return to Zhelejov Wagoners’ Inn.
Handing over the Lute
Hand over the lute to George and Michael. A drunk man will come and accidentally break the lute. You have the option to beat him up or solve it amicably.
Fixing the Broken Lute
When you choose the prompt “we can get new strings”, George and Michael will ask you to bring the strings from Vostatek. Head to his home, located northwest of Zhelejov Wagoners’ Inn. You must complete the side quest Lackey (if you haven’t already) to obtain the strings.
Vosatek will ask you to procure sheep guts for the strings, which you can get from the butcher shop in Troskowitz. Once you have obtained the sheep guts, return to Vostatek, and he will make the strings.
Taking the strings back to George and Michael
Head back to the Zhelejov Wagoners’ Inn to hand the strings to George and Michael. The innkeeper will explain that George and Michael have a debt, and as part of the task, you need to pay off this debt. You can either pay the debt back by giving 100 groschens or do the tasks assigned to you by the innkeeper. The tasks are:
- Carry a total of 8 sacks from the spot by the barrel cart.
- Dig out the tavern’s latrine.
After paying off the debt or completing the tasks, go to the musicians and give them the good news. A cutscene will trigger, and the musicians will sing a song for you. This wraps up your Troubadours Mission in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.
