Christmas is coming early as Larian Studios Announces New Epilogues coming in Patch 5! With PC and Playstation fans hungry for more as many start new playthroughs of the game, this new Patch will include some excellent reasons for wanting to start the game all over.
Larian Studios Announces New Epilogues in Patch 5
In an exciting announcement, Larian Studios has teased some new information about a new feature coming to Baldur’s Gate 3 in Patch 5 – Epilogues! The announcement tweet invites players to “Withers’ Epilogue Party Extravaganza”. While we don’t know exactly how these new epilogues will be integrated into the game, this suggests that we may be getting a ‘wrap party’ around the campfire. Similar to the party at camp we get to experience at the end of Act 1, this would be a great way for player’s to get to touch base with each of our beloved companions one more time. Hopefully getting to learn a bit more about where they’ll go (or where they have been, depending on when the party occurs) and perhaps how our in-game actions have changed the world.

While the game has enjoyed massive success following its launch on PC and Playstation platforms, it hasn’t passed without criticism. One of those issues was the disappointing lack of a robust epilogue. The story wraps up pretty quickly once you beat the game’s ‘big bad’. Many fans who had come to love the characters and engaged with the story felt let down that they didn’t get to see much about how their actions and relationships affected the world.
