Officially a week out from the full release of the game on PC, Larian Studios Pounces on Another Bug in Baldur’s Gate 3
Once again, Baldur’s Gate 3 developers at Larian Studios have responded quickly to an in-game bug affecting players with a swift fix. If you’ve been playing so many hours or have so many story saves you’re running into storage issues, then this may be the solution to your issues!
Larian Studios Surprises with Small Hotfix
Just this past Tuesday Larian Studios dropped their second major hotfix to Baldur’s Gate 3. While overall the game has run fairly smoothly for most players in game, there have been a few bumps and issues along the way. Most things have been small technical glitches, but there have been some bugs that have impeded quest progress or made saving your game problematic. Larian has been incredibly prompt in response to fixing these bugs so that players can get move forward and get back to having fun in Faerun.
Today ‘mini’ hotfix reflects this same commitment to quick action. Apparently, some players have put so much time into the game and doing so many quests, side quests, exploration, dialogue and more that the save files for their ‘personal story databases’ got too big and hit a limit the developers though no one would reach! The developers have now removed this limit, and as they explained “the size [is now] infinite (or at least as infinite as you have storage space).
Within the same small patch Larian also took the time to re-enable cross-saves. This was done in anticiaption of the launch of Baldur’s Gate 3 on the Playstation 5. Slated to release on September 6, many Sony fans are eager to get their hands on the game after such a positive response to the game has been seen on PC.
Larian Studios’ quick response to this issue serves as a testament to their commitment to excellence. By addressing bugs, refining gameplay, and continually engaging with the player community, they demonstrate that the journey to create a masterpiece is an ongoing process. As they continue to adventure in Faerun, players can rest assured that their adventure will only become more enthralling with each step Larian Studios takes towards perfection.
