Here is what you need to know about Doom Match in Marvel Rivals, including its objectives and how it stands out from other modes.
Doom Match is an Arcade Mode map that was added in Marvel Rivals Season 1. This game mode is designed to be chaotic as everyone is your enemy. There are no objectives other than racking up as many take-downs as possible. This is the perfect map if you simply want to focus on the PvP aspect of the game instead of the more strategic, team-based gameplay found in other modes. It’s also fast-paced and can be finished in less than a few minutes.
Here is all you need to know about the Doom Match Arcade Mode map in Marvel Rivals.
What is Doom Match in Marvel Rivals?
Doom Match is an Arcade Mode in Marvel Rivals that features a free-for-all deathmatch mechanic. A maximum of 12 players will spawn in the Empire of Eternal Night: Sanctum Sanctorium map with only one goal in mind, to have the most kills before the match ends. The first six players to reach 16 kills win the match. If time runs out before the victors are decided, the top 50% of players in the leaderboard after the match ends are considered the winners.
Unlike Conquest, there are no hero or villain restrictions in Doom Match. This means you can pick whichever hero you want. However, note that there are several restrictions placed on some heroes in this game mode. According to the in-game description, Doctor Strange’s Pentagram of Farallah and Invisible Woman’s Invisible Boundary abilities are disabled on this map. You need to consider if you want to use these heroes despite their restrictions.
Unlike other maps, Doom Match and other Arcade Mode maps are not playable in Quick Match or Competitive.
Why Play Doom Match Arcade Mode in Marvel Rivals?
The classic PvP aspect of Doom Match is one of the big reasons why you might consider playing it in Marvel Rivals. Unlike objective-driven or team-based modes, Doom Match throws strategy out the window and plunges players into a chaotic, free-for-all deathmatch. The matches are also quick, so the mode can be a good place to complete simple missions for rewards. Overall, it’s a pretty good mode if you are looking for a less competitive and stressful match.
