Discover how to obtain the Death Stench Armor set, a stylish and formidable high-rank armor that offers various benefits.

Hunting monsters and crafting armor are core aspects of every Monster Hunter game. Similarly, in Monster Hunter Wilds, you can craft powerful armor by exploring different regions and slaying monsters. However, some armor sets are not explicitly available, leading players to overlook their existence. One such rare armor set is the Death Stench Alpha, which provides a cool, grim reaper-like look.
While this high-rank armor provides many benefits, obtaining it is no easy task. Sinister Cloth, the key material of the Death Stench Alpha set, is particularly difficult to acquire. This guide explains how to collect all crafting materials for the Death Stench Alpha armor set, along with its stats.

How To Get the Death Stench Alpha Armor Set Crafting Materials in Monster Hunter Wilds
The Death Stench Alpha armor set is a high-rank armor and becomes available after completing Chapters 3-5. It requires the following materials to craft: Sinister Cloth, Herbivore Carapace, Colossal Bone, Wingdrake Hide+, and Quality Bone.
All these materials can be easily obtained by slaying certain monsters or gathering, except for the Sinister Cloth. It is a rare material that can be obtained only in two ways, though both are completely random. Here is how to obtain each of them:
- Sinister Cloth (5): Obtained through either the Village Intermediary or trading. Murtabak from Kunafa may randomly bring Sinister Cloth when sent to the Material Retrieval expedition. Use the Ancient Wyvern Coin to trade Sinister Cloth with Gawdygog from the Wudwud Hideout. Since the items in his inventory change every in-game day, check back often so as not to miss Sinister Cloth. Kilama from Kunafa rarely offers Sinister Cloth in exchange for special items like Windward Aloe.
- Herbivore Carapace (2): Dropped by high-rank Ceratonoth.
- Colossal Bone (2): Dropped by high-rank Conga and Blango.
- Wingdrake Hide+ (3): Obtained by carving high-rank Baunos and Harpios.
- Quality Bone (3): Gathered from high-rank bonepiles in all regions.
