In Monster Hunter Wilds, you’ll need to constantly craft items to prepare for an impending challenging battle or to recover from the effects of a concluded fight. One of these items you’ll craft often is Hot Drink, which protects you against the effects of cold or ice. A key ingredient in this drink is Hot Pepper, which means you’ll need to possess a constant stream of these peppers to craft Hot Drink quickly.
In this guide, we’ll explore where you can find Hot Pepper in Monster Hunter Wilds and how you can use it.
Where To Get Hot Pepper in Monster Hunter Wilds?
You can get Hot Pepper primarily in the Iceshard Cliffs biome of the game. Look for the ingredient specifically in Areas 1, 6, 5, 7, 18, and 13. Fortunately, harvesting the ingredient is simple, since you don’t even need any specialized tools for the job. You can approach the Hot Pepper plan and interact with it to add it to your inventory.
If you are still having trouble locating Hot Peppers, open your map. On the bottom left-hand corner of the map screen, use the filter functionality to highlight Hot Peppers. You can then set a waypoint to any of the Hot Pepper locations that pop up on your map to make it even easier to reach the ingredient.
If you want to maximize the yield of Hot Peppers from each source, you can equip armor with the Botanist skill. Or, if you aren’t too keen on changing your current armor, you can also activate the skill using a Botany Charm.

How To Use Hot Pepper in Monster Hunter Wilds?

You can brew Hot Drink with the Hot Pepper you collect throughout the game world. To brew this special drink, you’ll need to use 5x Hot Peppers. Drinking a Hot Drink will grant the Hunter temporary vulnerability against cold damage from some of the environments in the game. You can also drink the item during a battle where the monster uses ice-based elemental attacks.
