In Oblivion Remastered, there are many main quests as well as side quests to make the game fresh and challenging. One such quest is the Bravil Recommendation, requiring you to retrieve a stolen Mage’s Staff. The quest is a recommendation of the Mages Guild. Therefore, you need to join the Mages Guild to start the quest.

How To Start the Bravil Recommendation Quest in Oblivion Remastered
To begin the Bravil Recommendation quest, travel to Bravil. Once there, arrive at the Mages Guild. Also, you can refer to the image attached for the precise location. Enter inside, and locate and interact with Kud-Ei. She will tell you about the recommendation quest, in which she wants you to retrieve the staff of a fellow Guild member. The Mage’s Staff was stolen by Varon Vamori.
Where To Find Varon Vamori in Oblivion Remastered
As mentioned above, you have to get the staff from Varon Vamori. You must arrive at the Guild between 8 AM and 10 AM. Additionally, you need to use the Beguile spell on him before you begin the conversation. Once you cast the spell, use the dialogue options to inquire about the Mage’s Staff.
He will tell that he sold the staff to Soris Arenim. Upon inquiring about his location, he will reveal that Soris lives in the Talos Plaza District of Imperial City. However, if you do not find Varon Vamori in the Guild, head to Silverhome on the Water Inn.
Return to Kud-Ei to tell him about the staff. She will then task you with getting the staff. To do so, head to the Talos Plaza District in Imperial City. Once there, look for Soris Arenim. Enter inside, and he will be ready to sell you the staff for 200 gold.
Completing the Bravil Recommendation Quest
Although you can purchase the staff from Soris for 200 gold, you can also steal the staff from the basement at midnight if you want to save money. Once the staff is in your hands, reach the Bravil Mage’s Guild to return it to Kud-Ei. Once you complete the quest, you will receive the Captitative spell for free.
