American streamer CouRageJD recently called out Call of Duty’s anti-cheat system Ricochet, terming it the “biggest failure.”
Call of Duty Black Ops 6 has had many players cheating. Activision has taken a lot of steps to minimize this issue, with Ricochet being one of the anti-cheat systems introduced to combat cheaters. However, Ricochet is now facing backlash for its low efficiency.
Jack Dulop, famously known as CouRage or CouRageJD, also called out Ricochet for its inefficiency. He replied to a tweet by Call Of Duty Updates stating:
“Ricochet is the biggest failure in recent Call of Duty history. It’s ins*ne.”
The cheating crisis in the Call of Duty franchise seems to be intensifying. Thousands of players are suffering, and it seems that Activision may have to step up its game.
The silver lining is that some players have noticed less aimbot being used less, which signals that the anti-cheat system may have made a difference.
Other Problems Faced By Call Of Duty Players
Another issue that gamers recently faced was players spawning in-game rather than spectating when they join a match in progress. Some took to Reddit to share their concerns. They were re-spawning in direct line of fire of the player who killed them. One user said that the “maps are terrible and will constantly spawn you in direct line of sight of the person that had just killed you.”
This issue has forced a lot of players to resort to temporary solutions, like turning anti-cheat systems off, uninstalling certain apps, and disabling auto-start. Unfortunately, none of them have been quite efficient.
