In this guide, we shall go over how to defeat the Clawbarella in Revenge of the Savage Planet, the second boss in the game.
As you push into the dangerous depths of the Zenithian Rifts of Revenge of the Savage Planet, the lava seems to be the least of your worries. The ground erupts under you, and a giant crab-like creature bursts from the ground – Clawbarella, the giant title card reads.
The Clawbarella is a giant crab-turtle hybrid that doesn’t shy away from using the dangerous lava terrain as a weapon. This crab is the second boss you face in the game and is a step up in difficulty. Defeating this boss requires you to be conscious of your environment while also keeping tabs on the boss’ movement patterns. This boss fight constantly keeps you on your toes and is a test of the new skills acquired on the Zenethian Rift.

How To Beat Clawbarella in Revenge of the Savage Planet
As stated earlier, you find the Clawbarella in the depths of the Zenithian Rifts. As you head deeper into the volcanic terrain, the crab ambushes you, kicking off the boss fight. The Clawbarella sticks to using swiping strikes for the first portion of the fight. The boss will use its claws to swipe left, right, and then left again. You have to keep jumping if you wish to dodge these. Between your jumps, shoot at the four glowing buttons near its chest.
Shooting all four buttons will prompt the boss to smash the ground in anger. Dodge this attack and use your newly acquired stomp skill to stomp right on the claws. The boss will then reveal a new set of buttons on its claws, which you then have to destroy to deal damage.
Once all the glowing weak spots are destroyed, the Clawbarella’s claws will fall off, and it will retreat into the lava, only to return with a fresh set of claws. Your tactic in this second phase remains the same – stomp on the claws and shoot the exposed weak spots. The boss adds a flame breath to this phase, which you can dodge by jumping over. Dodge the attacks and shoot the glowing buttons to defeat the Clawbarella.
