In this guide, we shall go over how to defeat Wormzilla in Revenge of the Savage Planet, the first boss in the game.
Revenge of the Savage Planet begins by throwing you into the depths of Stellaris Prime. This planet is all shades of lush green and warm blue, resembling Earth in its aesthetics. Cruising across these lands is an absolute joy, and things seem to be going smoothly, that is, until you’re launched right into Xephyr.
Xephyr is a brutal desert planet, bearing a stark resemblance to Dune’s Arrakis. This hostile planet is teeming with wildlife and heat, both of which seem out to kill you. As you navigate the scorched desert terrain, you notice eerie damage all over—signs of a creature you’re yet to discover. Over the next hour, the game masterfully builds tension, culminating in a heart-pounding confrontation with the beast itself: the giant Wormzilla.
Wormzilla is the first boss you fight in Revenge of the Savage Planet. This fight is a test of all the mechanics you learnt across the two planets and can be difficult to get through. How To Defeat Wormzilla in Revenge of the Savage Planet
First Bout
You first encounter Wormzilla while tracking down the Magnetic Fork container. The best ambushes you from the ground, kicking off the boss fight after a badass title card. The boss crawls underground, moving dust along the way, before jutting out for a bite. Follow the dust trail to avoid being swallowed.
The boss will then stand in a spot and spit fire and poison projectiles at you. Deflect these projectiles back at the giant worm to defeat it. You can’t deflect the flames, however, so run away as soon as it breathes fire. Deflect the projectiles back, and the creature will escape.
The Rematch
As you pursue the Magnetic Fork container to the depths of Xephyr, you run into the Wormzilla once again. This time, however, the worm has a few new tricks up its sleeve. Before you begin fighting, run around the arena and collect all the Ferrous Goo. As the creature lands on the sprayed parts, it will be electrocuted, drop the Magnetic Fork, and disappear.
Retrieve the Magnetic Fork, and the creature will ambush and swallow you. The fight will then resume with you inside the creature’s stomach. Use the Magnetic Fork to damage the creature’s stomach from the inside and escape. Once out, continue using the fork to launch crystals at the boss and defeat it.
