The world of RuneScape Dragonwilds is full of materials and resources to collect and upgrades to unlock. Armor and weapon upgrades can help you fend off more powerful enemies. You can also upgrade the tools in your possession. And you don’t always find the upgrade materials out in the world. Instead, you’ll have to craft some of them. For instance, the Padded Cloth is a crucial crafting and upgrade material that you won’t simply get as a drop from enemies or as loot. Instead, you’ll have to make it using the Loom. In this guide, we’ll explain how you can craft the Padded Cloth in RuneScape Dragonwilds and why it is an important material for late-game upgrades.
How To Craft Padded Cloth in RuneScape Dragonwilds
To make the Padded Cloth in the game, you’ll have to meet two prerequisites. These are:
- You will need to own a Loom.
- You will need to craft the Loom Harness upgrade for the Loom.
The Loom Harness upgrade enables you to mix and match two different materials to create a third, more intricate textile. Once you’ve met these two requirements, simply follow the steps mentioned below.
- Step 1: Interact with the Loom to open its menu.
- Step 2: Place 1x Rough Cloth and 1x Wool Cloth in the Loom menu slots.
- Step 3: Click on the start button.
This will give you 1x Padded Cloth in your inventory. If you don’t have Rough Cloth and Wool Cloth in your inventory, don’t worry. You can also make these using the Loom. To make one Rough Cloth, place Coarse Thread (3x) into the Loom. On the other hand, you can craft 1x Wool Cloth by placing Wool Thread (2x) in the Loom.

How To Use Padded Cloth in RuneScape Dragonwilds
You can craft a variety of armor pieces by combining Padded Cloth and other materials. The following are some of the armor recipes that require Padded Cloth as an ingredient:
- Dark Mage Robes
- Dark Mage Hood
- Studded Leather Cowl
- Dark Mage Robe Legs
- Studded Leather Chaps
- Studded Leather Body
- Iron Platelegs
- Iron Helmet
- Iron Platebody
Besides the Padded Cloth, you will also require additional resources, such as Iron Bars and Vault Shards, to craft most of these gear pieces.
