Materials for many of the late-game upgrades are especially tricky to locate if you don’t know where to look. Rough Cloth is one such resource that’ll come in handy in crafting advanced upgrades toward the latter parts of the game.
Thankfully, you won’t need to scour the world in search of this item, as you need to craft it. In this guide, we’ll explain how you can craft Rough Cloth in RuneScape Dragonwilds and why it is an important material to have.
How To Craft Rough Cloth in RuneScape Dragonwilds
You will need the loom to make Rough Cloth in the game. You’ll also need to place 3x Coarse Threads in the loom to get one piece of Rough Cloth. If you don’t own Coarse Threads at the moment, you can also make them by combining a couple of ingredients. To make Coarse Thread, you need either coarse animal fur or flax and a spinning wheel.
You can get your hands on some flax all across the Bramblemead Valley region of the game. On the other hand, slay Kebbits to receive some coarse fur. If you’re using the fur to make Coarse Thread, you’ll need 3x coarse fur. Alternatively, use 1x flax to make the same type of thread.

How To Use Rough Cloth in RuneScape Dragonwilds
You can craft Wizard Robes using the Rough Cloth in your inventory. However, the primary purpose of this particular material is to combine it with other resources in the loom. For that, you’ll require the Loom Harness upgrade for your loom. With this upgrade, you’ll be able to weave more intricate textiles by combining two different types of materials on the loom.
So, combine the Rough Cloth with the Wool Cloth to create Padded Cloth. The Padded Cloth is one of the most important materials that you’ll need to have when trying to get the best gear upgrades in the game.
