Note: This article focuses on Schedule 1 and its content, which is a video game set in a fictional world. Items, recipes, etc, mentioned in the article are exclusively from the game and don’t refer to anything in real life.

TVGS’s indie crime simulator, Schedule 1, takes place in Hyland Point, a grungy city where crime takes place frequently on every corner. Emerging as a drug lord in such a city won’t be easy. You will eventually get into fights. As a result, some NPCs might become a nuisance and a hindrance to your business. But can you kill them to get rid of them in the game? Well, the answer is yes—you can kill NPCs in Schedule 1.

This includes any NPCs, whether customers, suppliers, dealers, or even the cops. Schedule 1 gives you the freedom to be a ruthless drug dealer, taking down anyone who comes in your way, or just for fun.

Do NPCs Respawn in Schedule 1?

Does killing an NPC in Schedule 1 mean they are gone forever? No — all NPCs you kill will eventually respawn in Schedule 1. However, this might take a few in-game hours or days. Some NPCs may act weird after their respawn, such as standing idle or getting stuck between objects, but ultimately, they all come back from death. While NPCs do respawn, killing key characters like vendors or suppliers can slow your progression, as you will have to wait for them to return to continue where they left off.

Does Killing NPCs Affect Your Progression?

Since all NPCs can be killed and respawn, what if you accidentally took the life of an important one, like a supplier or a quest-related character? Does it block you from progressing further? Well, you don’t have to worry about that.

Fortunately, none of the killings in-game come with penalties. The only downside is that you need to wait for them to respawn, which might put a break in your progression for a while. Once they reappear, you can continue your dealings with them as usual, much like how they used to be before their death.
