Set Piece can turn the tide from one side to the other in an instant. Let us explore the various ways gamers can effectively slot in all their corners, free kicks, and penalties.
Set Pieces provide some of the most thrilling and cold moments in football. Remember Toni Kroos’s dying minutes free-kick for Germany at the 2018 World Cup? Imagine recreating such a hype moment in a game. Let us look at how to take corners, free kicks, and penalties in EAFC 25 to convert more set-piece chances.
Set Piece Guide for EAFC 25
Corners
A team is given a corner when the opposition player puts the ball behind his goal line. Scoring a corner can be tough as it requires precision and perfect ball heading. Taller players are usually more comfortable scoring corners, as they can reach the ball first.
In EAFC 25, gamers need to have a dedicated player for corner-kicks. Gamers can select a specific player through the in-game team management settings. The player should have high crossing stats. Afterward, gamers must choose a target player waiting inside the box for the corner kick. This player should be tall and possibly have the Power Header+ playstyle.
While taking the corner, gamers should note if a left-footed player is taking the corner or a right-footed player. Using left-footed players for the left side corners of the pitch and right-footed players for the right side of the pitch is preferred. This is because the receiving ball would be curling inside the box towards the target striker.
Free-Kicks
A free-kick is given when the opposition player commits a foul. Free-kicks from 20-25 yards from the goal are incredibly dangerous and have a high chance of going in. Gamers need to assign the players with the Dead Ball+ playstyle for converting free-kicks.
For scoring a free-kick, gamers should also note if the player is right-footed or left-footed as it decides the curling direction of the ball. In order to score a free-kick gamers should use the power with respect to the distance. For example, for 20-25 yards gamers should use about three bars of power. The shot should be lined up in a way that it either curls over the wall and into the far corner or curls away from the goalkeeper into the near post.
Penalties
Scoring penalties is the easiest of the three options to accomplish. Penalties are given when an opponent player commits a foul in the penalty area. Players with high penalty accuracy stats should be favored for taking a penalty.
For scoring penalties, gamers need to be precise as well as have some luck on their side. Aiming for the top right or left corners or the bottom corners gives gamers a higher chance of scoring. However, sometimes shooting the ball in the center of the net can do the trick! Gamers should first aim for where they want the ball to go and then perfectly time the green circle to be closest to the ball so that they don’t overshoot it.
All the set pieces, however, require a lot of luck as well because the opponent player might adjust their goalkeeper to be where you want to place the ball. The best chance of scoring through a set piece in EAFC 25 is to be precise and not to overshoot or undershoot the ball.
